Welcome to the First-Ever Zig-Zag Mountain Bike 2 day event!

NEW as of 6-23-26… we now have a prize purse for the pro women and men, ebike m/w and fastest on long course..

We are evolving trying to make the weekend fun and exciting. Yes, there are some changes happening. These are done to help improve the experience for all riders. We appriciate your patience as we take this to a long lasting race!

We're excited to welcome everyone to the inaugural Zig-Zag Mountain Bike Festival! This is the first year of what we hope becomes a long-standing tradition of racing, riding, camping, learning, and celebrating the mountain bike community together.

Our race course will feature just over 4 miles of riding, including several fun and challenging singletrack sections. We've designed the course to provide a great mix of flow, fitness, and technical riding. Our goal is for most races to run approximately 60 to 90 minutes, with lap counts varying by category. We have put a range and it is subject to change when we realize the actual lap times.

New for 2026 – Saturday Skills & Development Day NEMBA DAY!

Since this is our first year, we wanted to make Zig-Zag more than just a race. We've added an entire Saturday dedicated to rider development, skills, and fun on the bike.

We realize the festival falls on the same weekend as Nationals, and we wanted to create an opportunity for riders who are traveling to Nationals and looking for one last tune-up ride, as well as those who aren't attending Nationals but still want a great weekend on the bike.

Throughout Saturday, we're planning skills clinics, guided rides, and development-focused activities for riders of all ages and abilities.

Calling All Kids and Junior Riders!

If your NEYC season has wrapped up, we want to see you at Zig-Zag! We're planning guided mountain bike rides for kids who are comfortable riding for 30–60 minutes in the woods. We're also working on creating a Kid Zone filled with activities for younger riders and families. While we're still finalizing the details, we're excited about what we're building and hope it becomes a favorite part of the festival.

Our goal is to offer skills clinics throughout Saturday, giving young riders the opportunity to learn, improve, and gain confidence on their bikes.

A Special Invitation to Youth Teams

We would like to extend a special invitation to all youth mountain bike teams and clubs. Whether your season has wrapped up or you're looking for one last team adventure before summer, we would love to have you join us.

Bring your tents, bring your coaches, bring your families, and make a weekend of it. Camp together, ride together, learn together, and race together. We're putting together affordable camping and youth-friendly pricing options to make it easy for teams to come out and enjoy the entire weekend.

Mountain biking is built on community, and we hope Zig-Zag becomes a place where young riders can create memories with teammates, develop new skills, and celebrate a great season together.

    Make It a Weekend

Bring your team, camp out, ride with friends, and enjoy one final summer mountain bike adventure. Spend Saturday building skills, exploring the trails, and hanging out with the mountain bike community. Then on Sunday, put those new skills to the test and race.

This is the first year of what we hope will become an annual tradition. We're building Zig-Zag for racers, families, teams, and riders who simply love being on their bikes. Thank you for being part of the beginning.

A Quick Note About Prizes, Purses, and Our Vision

We've received a few questions about prizes and purses, so we wanted to be upfront about our approach for this first year.

Rather than focusing our budget on large cash purses, we've chosen to put that money back into making the event more affordable and accessible for everyone. We've reduced entry fees, eliminated parking fees, lowered camping costs, and worked hard to keep the overall weekend as budget-friendly as possible.

Our goal for Year One is to create an event where more riders, more families, and more teams can come together and enjoy an incredible weekend of mountain biking.

We believe growing participation, building community, and creating a great experience for everyone is the best investment we can make right now.

That said, we're already looking ahead. We're actively working on sponsorship opportunities for next year and hope to bring back larger purses and additional prizes as the event grows. The more support we can generate, the more we can give back to the riders.

And who knows... there may even be another series in the works that Zig-Zag could become part of.

We'll leave it at that for now.

    ?? WINK.

Here's to the first year of many.

We can't wait to see everyone at the first-ever Zig-Zag Mountain Bike Event!
