Get ready to push limits, chase sunrises, and write your own story in the wild—because the Shenandoah Epic 24-Hour Adventure Race returns April 11-12, 2026, for its 15th legendary year in the heart of Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley.

This iconic race is more than just a challenge—it’s a rite of passage. Whether you're a seasoned AR veteran or gearing up for your first taste of the unknown, it's time to add your name to the roster. Spots vanish fast. With a cap of 300 racers and a history of sell-outs, this is your moment to lock in.

• A fresh twist for 2026: multiple transitions over 24 hours, with a creative reimagining of how and where your transition areas unfold.

When & Where: The 5k run starts at 9:00 am at the Warren County Health & Human Services Complex (the former 15th Street School; same location as in previous years!) in

Front Royal, Virginia. Race day registration and check- in begin at 8:00 am in the east parking lot. Benefits Warren County Special Olympics.

Course: A measured 5k (3.1 mile) route on paved roads through the northwestern part of Front Royal and the grounds of Randolph-Macon Academy. Mile 1 is downhill or flat; mile 2 is mostly uphill; and the final 1.1 miles are rolling.

Awards: For the top three men & women overall and the top three in the following age groups: 14 & under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, and 60 & over.

Entry Fees: $15 (without t-shirt). $20 on race day. Add on a t-shirt for $14 during the registration process and the total fee will be $29 with the t-shirt (must be pre-ordered by April 28th).

$1.00 discount for Kiwanis or SVR.

Directions: The Warren County Health & Human Services Complex is at 500 West 15th Street in Front Royal, VA Take I-66 to exit 6 (Routes 340/522) and head south toward Front Royal. In I. 9 miles, tum right at a stoplight onto West 14th Street. 0.3 miles later, tum right onto Massanutten Avenue. At the stop sign in one block, tum right onto West 15th Street and park in the lot on your left.

Join us on Saturday, May 23rd, for a Farm 5K Run/Walk as part of the 2026 Wardensville Spring Fest — a town-wide celebration filled with local flavor, creativity, and fun for all ages.

The 5K takes place on a scenic, approachable off-road course beside the Cacapon River, winding alongside Lewis Farm, where our organic vegetables are grown and livestock graze nearby. Whether you’re running, walking, or cheering from the sidelines, it’s a great way to kick off a full day in Wardensville, WV.

All proceeds from the Farm 5K support local youth enrolled in the Junior Crew program at Farms Work Wonders.

Our mission is to ignite the spark of curiosity in Appalachian youth so they see themselves and their futures in new and exciting ways. We do this through real work in our businesses, where young people — our Junior Crew — are challenged and supported to learn the work, build confidence, and find their way forward, no matter the path they choose.

A Note On Pets:

While our market and courtyard are dog-friendly, dogs are not permitted on the 5K course to ensure the safety of our livestock and participants. We kindly ask that you make arrangements for your pet ahead of time and avoid leaving them in your vehicle.

When: Saturday, June 6, 2026

The race beneficiary is Blue Ridge Habitat for Humanity. Timing for this event is provided by Good Times Event Services. Awards are given for top male/female/hand cyclist or wheelchair user overall finishers and top three male/female user in each age group. Water is provided during and after the race, and food and refreshments are available at the post-race gathering.

Please Note: Registration fees are non-refundable and the race will be held rain or shine. Dogs are not eligible to participate in this year’s 5K event.
