Tiger Trot Color Run and 5K – Rescheduled for March 14, 2026

Get ready for one of Scottsville’s favorite traditions. The Tiger Trot Color Run and 5K has been rescheduled and will now take place on Saturday, March 14, 2026, starting by the library in downtown Scottsville.

This family-friendly event includes a 1-mile kids color run and a 5K run or walk open to all ages and fitness levels. At the finish line, participants can choose to run through the optional color celebration or cross the line clean.

Event Schedule

Registration Check-In: 7:30–7:50 AM

1-Mile Kids Color Run: 8:00 AM

5K Run/Walk: Begins after the kids finish, approximately 8:30 AM

All participants receive an official race t-shirt, and proceeds support the Scottsville Elementary PTO, which funds field trips, classroom resources, family events, and our growing community garden. Come out, cheer on your neighbors, and be part of the fun.

Registrations after Monday, March 3rd are not guaranteed a shirt, so sign up early to reserve yours.

    Come join us for the 2026 Charlottesville Summer Trail Running Series! This is a fun, relaxed, low-cost summer trail running series with 4 trail races from 5K to 5-miles in distance, all in the Charlottesville/Crozet area. In addition to individual race prizes, there will be overall and top age group finisher prizes for the series, based upon cumulative time from all 4 races.

    Runners who complete all 4 races in the series will receive a Summer Series Finisher technical running shirt at the last race, and runners completing 3 out of 4 races will receive a cotton finishers shirt. Runners must register for the series in advance to be eligible for the Series Finisher Shirt. Additionally, all runners will receive a t-shirt for the first race. There will also be age group awards for both men and women in the top three in the following age groups for each race as well as for the entire series: Kids 12-U, 13-17, 18-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+. The series races sell out every year and we continue to expect high demand this year, so register now!

    • O-Hilly Trail 5k - Tuesday June 9th, 7:00pm, O-Hill, Charlottesville

    • Boar's Head Turn and Burn (5 miles) - Saturday July 11th, 7:30am, Boar's Head Resort, Charlottesville

    • Late Summer Meltdown 4-Miler - Tuesday August 11th, 7:00pm, Pen Park, Charlottesville

    The cost for the entire 4-race series is just $75, or $65 for paid CATs members. Kids 12 and under are $35. You will receive a series finisher shirt, a t-shirt for the Mint Springs Trail 5k, the Summer Series BBQ/Cookout at the last race, as well as other finisher awards and top finisher awards throughout the series!
