    Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.

    Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.

    Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.

    Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.

    Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

    Come out and support Spectrum for Living at our Michael B. Carpenter 5K, Walk & Doggie Dash, benefiting adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities! This exciting 5K event will take place at Overpeck Park (Ridgefield Park Area III), featuring a USATF Certified Course. Registration opens at 8:30 AM, with the race starting at 10:00 AM. Awards and lunch will follow around 11:00 AM.

    The race kicks off near the amphitheater, where parking is available. If you’re coming from Challenger Road, the amphitheater and great lawn will be on your right.

    Everyone is welcome to run, walk, or roll through the park with or without your dog. Just make sure your dog is leashed, up-to-date on vaccinations, and well-behaved with people and other dogs.

    Pre-registration is encouraged, but day-of registration will also be available.

    YCFL Color Run for Environmental Sustainability is co-hosted by the Youth Council of Fort Lee, Borough of Fort Lee, LG Electronics USA, Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, and Peter Magnone Foundation.

    The 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk will start at 10:00 AM sharp followed by the 5K Run at 10:45 AM.

    Packet Distribution will be held on April 24th, Friday, between 5:15 PM to 7:00 PM - the location will be announced later. Event-day packet pickup will also be available onsite beginning at 9:00 AM.

    The award ceremony for the 5K race only will begin at 11:45 AM. The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd overall male/female runners will be given awards. Age categories will be grouped by every ten years after ages 0-9.

    Event t-shirts are guaranteed for participants who register by April 24th. The 1 Mile Fun Run / Walk entry fee will be $25, and 5K Run entry fee will be $30 on the day of the race. Cash and credit cards are accepted.

    Whether you’re a competitive or recreational runner, a seasoned or novice walker, or just looking to meet up, have fun, and do good, the annual BLOOMIN’ 5K Run/1 Mile Walk is for you! St. Peter’s Haven, a nonsectarian nonprofit and Clifton’s only food pantry and homeless family shelter will host BLOOMIN’ at 8:30 AM on April 26, 2026 with help from our “Run-To” partner, the Clifton Road Runners Club. http://www.cliftonroadrunners.com/

    While the City of Clifton works on long-term solutions through a community-wide task force, proceeds from BLOOMIN’ will help St. Peter’s Haven to address more immediate needs, providing families and individuals in need with food and a pathway to greater independence and safe, stable housing. BLOOMIN’ will feature a USATF-NJ sanctioned/certified course with Grand Prix status, a dog and stroller friendly walk, music, food, and fun activities for kids.

    It's a fast 5K course with a downhill finish. Cash prizes for overall best. Beat the fastest time of 14:57.3 (Men) or 19:42.5 (Women) for additional cash prize. The 1 Mile Walk is a comfortable 3 times around Main Memorial Pond. The Marketplace will have a DJ, Carb Station, Flower Station, Kids Activity Station and more.

    Registration

    Race day registration and packet pickup will open at 7:00am. Race day registration fee (5K and 1 Mile Walk): $45, Age 10 and under no charge to run/walk. There are no refunds for this race of any kind and the last date for deferrals was April 9. Packets can also be picked up at St. Peter's Haven at 380 Clifton Avenue in Clifton on Friday April 25th from 8 AM to 5PM and on Saturday, April 26th from 8 AM to 12 PM.

    Those that register on race day are not guaranteed shirts.

    The race will go on rain or shine.

    Register early and save: Early Registration - $35 (till March 15); Registration - $40 (till April 24); Race Day Registration - $45.
