This short track race is a fundraiser for Mike Fraser to assist with medical expenses associated with his fight with autoimmune hepatitis (AIH). First and foremost, Mike has been a leader in the cycling community in Salem County since 2015 when he opened Sneakers & Spokes in Woodstown, NJ. He started the Salem County Reactors Composite mountain bike team in 2016 and has grown the youth mountain biking community immensely since then. Mike has hosted mountain bike races at Camp Edge for many years including Shred the Edge, summer short track races, and a nighttime team relay.

Mike was diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis in 2021. Autoimmune hepatitis is a rare chronic disease that attacks the liver. For several years, Mike managed the AIH through diet restrictions and medications, following his doctor's orders to the tee. In August 2025, he started to require weekly and sometimes twice-weekly paracentesis to drain fluid in his stomach (ascites). His team of doctors at Jefferson Hospital and Inspira Mullica Hill monitored his health diligently and decided to proceed with the TIPS (Transjugular Intrahepatic Portosystemic Shunt) procedure to increase his quality of life and decrease the frequency of paracentesis appointments. Mike received the TIPS procedure on April 2, 2026. Although he is considered “Jeff Ready” for a liver transplant, his team of medical professionals are hopeful that the TIPS procedure will be all that he needs! The purpose of this short track race is to help alleviate medical expenses Mike has experienced as a result of his AIH diagnosis and

    related complications.

We will be hosting 2 short track races:

    -CAT 1/2 at 9am

    -CAT 3/4 at 10:15am

Course: ~2 miles in length (we are letting Mike create the course - be prepared for some hills)

    Pre-ride and check-in starts at 8AM. Pre-ride to close at 8:45AM.

Prizes for top 3 male and top 3 female in each category.

Join us for our annual UPD 5K.

This race benefits Ulster Project Delaware (UPD). UPD was founded in 1976 as a program to build understanding between Northern Irish Catholic and Protestant teenagers. Each July, the project brings a group of teenagers between the ages of 14 and 16, half Catholic, half Protestant, and half girls, half boys, to the Wilmington area where they live with host teenagers and their families for four weeks. During that month, the teens participate in a variety of team building, social, sightseeing, spiritual and service activities that enable them to create enduring friendships and mutual understanding.

Just minutes from I-95 this mid-season Sprint/Olympic race is fast, flat and easy to get to. Staged out of beautiful Lums Pond State Park in Bear, Delaware this is a great race for elite and novice athletes alike. The freshwater swim starts with a rectangular course that parallels the shore for the first 250 meters. The bike course is super fast and completes a large loop around the park. This course is completely flat, all right hand turns and has great pavement throughout. The run course is amazing with a beautiful, heavily forested mix of single track lake views and wide open graveled walking paths. There are mountain biking, hiking and running trails galore as well as the GoApe ropes course. Or you can relax with friends post race at Stewarts Brewing Company on the way home.

***The Lum’s Pond Sprint & Olympic Triathlons are the USA Triathlon Delaware State Championships.

Qualifying for the Toyota Age Group National Championships. State championships will qualify the top 35% or top five (5) finishers in an age group (whichever is greater). High School State Championships Exemption: All high school athletes who finish any of the State High School Championships will automatically qualify for Sprint-distance (pending they are at least age 15 as of December 31, 2025)

Any state championship that occurs after June 1, 2025 will qualify for BOTH 2025 AND 2026 Toyota Age Group Nationals.
