Kona Kids is a non-profit organization which empowers the kids of Kona (on the Big Island of Hawaii) by teaching ownership of mind, body, and goals. This race supports Kona Kids by donating all proceeds to it for *purchasing schools supplies and meals for the children Kona Kids cares for.
*This year's race is in honor of The Iron Tri-Dad (aka John W. McCoy) and proceeds will go to the McCoy College Scholarship for our Kona kids.

It’s the 30th Anniversary of the Air Force Marathon!
Get ready to make your mark on history at the 30th Anniversary Air Force Marathon, an annual endurance event that takes place on the third Saturday of September at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio.
Since its inception in 1997 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Air Force, this iconic event has celebrated the service, strength, and spirit of the Air Force community. In 2026, we’ll mark 30 years of running, tradition, and pride — with the featured aircraft to be announced soon!
Experience an Unforgettable Weekend
During the 2026 Air Force Marathon weekend, you'll have the opportunity to participate in a range of exciting events, including:

Five event distances: Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and the Tailwind Trot 1K Kids’ Run

This year, we're proud to introduce the RUCK division to the 10K and Half marathon races.

This year, we're changing the challenge to a different name and adding new challenges. The AIM HIGH Challenge will offer more options for runners of all levels. Choose your own adventure by tackling the 5K, plus your choice of the Full Marathon, Half Marathon, or 10K. Whether you're a seasoned marathoner or new to the race scene, the AIM HIGH Challenge has something for you! Earn race shirts for both events, a finisher coin, medals for each race completed, and the coveted AIM HIGH Challenge medal!
