In 2011, Ismael and Sean started running obstacle races together, fueled by the need to test themselves against something bigger. What began as personal training spiraled into a movement. They wanted Brooklyn to feel that same pull toward challenge, that belief that obstacles aren't roadblocks but invitations. Spartan Sundays Run Club emerged from that conviction. Every Sunday, roughly 40 to 50 runners gather at Barclays Center or JAG Physical Therapy, ranging from age 4 to 73. Budding athletes train alongside elite competitors. Injury comebacks show up next to peak performers. The crew's philosophy is simple: above it, around it, through it. Two-hour sessions blend conditioning, strength work, and mental toughness. This is training for life's races, not just the ones with medals.

Streets 101 was founded in April 2018 when Greg set out to build something real on New York City's streets. The simple idea: bring runners together and push every single one of them further. Today, around 130 runners make up the crew, each chasing their own individualized goals. The foundation here is effort, commitment, and drive. Streets 101 thrives on shared ambition, celebrating every personal breakthrough as a collective win. The atmosphere is hard-working, warm, and genuinely invested in every member's progress. The crew gathers three times a week, Tuesday evenings, Thursday mornings, and Saturday mornings at Custom Performance, where every run is a chance to break your routine and surprise yourself.

Team WEPA was born in the summer of 2016 in New York City with a single mission: reach people who thought running wasn't for them. Founded on the belief that every milestone is earned through effort and grit, the crew now runs 35 strong. What started as helping someone run their first mile has become a tight-knit family rooted in the Work. Excel. Persevere. Achieve. philosophy. Every Thursday night, Team WEPA gathers at the Corona Diner in Queens to run together through the city streets. They hold each other accountable, celebrate every step forward, and make sure no one gets left behind.

We Run Uptown emerged in July 2013 from heartbreak and a determination to build running culture in an Uptown Manhattan neighborhood with few organized options. Founded by runners who saw the streets as community canvas, the crew has grown into a tight twenty-strong collective that treats every mile as a way of being present. Their philosophy is straightforward: street runners first. They welcome all paces and all backgrounds, asking only for raw, unfiltered energy. Monday nights at 7:15 from Bodega Pizza, they hit the neighborhood streets rain or shine, creating social space where the run matters as much as the beer and conversations that follow.
