ANKARUNNING was founded in August 2014 to pull Ankara's residents out of their homes and onto the city's streets and trails. Seasonal conditions and limited running routes had kept most people indoors, so the crew emerged to change that. Today, ANKARUNNING thrives as a community where ages 17 to 45, from every walk of life, train together every Sunday at 07:50 at Eymir Lake on Ankara's southern edge. Students, retirees, professionals, and first-timers run side by side along the lakeside trail in early light and cool air. The crew's philosophy is simple: running belongs to everyone. Pace doesn't matter. Showing up does.
