Before dawn breaks over the Gulf of Thailand, a small group gathers at the Dongtan Beach sign in Pattaya every Sunday at 06:15. Sub Run Club, founded in May 2026 by Jamie and Jacob, was born from a simple conviction: running should cost nothing and exclude no one.

What started as two friends solving a problem they felt personally, Pattaya had runners scattered across the city, but no free, pressure-free meeting point, has grown to around 30 members. The crew is a mix of expats, Thai locals, and visitors, united by early mornings and easy coastline runs. The model remains unchanged since day one: no registration, no pace requirement, no entry fee. After each run, the group gathers for coffee in the shade, where the actual community building happens.

The Dongtan Beach sign at the best hour of the day has become an open door to anyone looking to show up and run together, at whatever pace feels right that morning.
