Organizations in Bucharest

In 2012, there was no running culture in Bucharest. Runners of Bucharest (Nike Run Club at that time) changed that. Founders partnered with Nike to build something from scratch: a consistent gathering of people who wanted to move together, to show up, to push the city forward. What started as a radical idea became Romania's first sustainable running community. Today, around 300 runners of all levels gather weekly at King Michael I Park, moving through Monday 5AM early morning runs, Wednesday sunset 7PM sessions, and Saturday 9AM steady efforts. Pace groups split the field so no one runs alone. Coffee and conversation follow every session, transforming a run into a ritual. Consistency and energy are not slogans here, they are the foundation. Runners of Bucharest did not just start a crew, they started a culture.
