Running From Reality, founded in April 2024 by three friends in Banjarmasin, Indonesia, began as an after-work escape from office stress and has grown into a crew of about 35 members. Led by Taufieq, the group embraces running as a form of moving therapy, prioritizing camaraderie and conversation over competition. Their relaxed, inclusive runs start at their hub at TUSUK KOFFEE, winding through the city’s vibrant streets and riverbanks, reflecting Banjarmasin’s rich culture and tropical atmosphere. Members from diverse backgrounds come together to share stories and support one another, with pace taking a back seat to connection. The crew participates in local races and occasional charity runs, blending their passion for running with a commitment to community care. Running From Reality offers a welcoming space for anyone seeking more than just exercise—a shared journey of renewal and friendship amid the rhythms of urban life in South Kalimantan.
