East Laurier Running Club began in 2012 when JP and his Montreal roommates decided to build something inspired by Toronto's Parkdale Roadrunners. They named their crew after the street they lived on, and what started as a group of friends became a 12-year institution. East Laurier runs on a simple philosophy: athletic ambition and genuine fun are not opposites, they belong together. Every Tuesday at 7:25 pm, the crew gathers at Bar Chez Baptiste on the same corner, ready to run hard and celebrate harder. From seasoned racers to first-timers lacing up their shoes for the first time, East Laurier has welcomed all levels through Montreal summers and brutal winters alike.

November Project Montréal launched in November 2016, bringing the Boston-born free fitness movement to the streets and staircases of one of Canada's most vibrant cities. Founded on the belief that accountability doesn't need a price tag, the crew operates free, loud, bilingual, and radically inclusive. Around 50 members show up each week, from Olympic medalists to first-time fitness rookies, all sharing the same start line. Every Wednesday at 6:29am, they converge on Place Jacques-Cartier for 45 minutes of running and bodyweight work. Come alone, leave knowing people. The only price of admission is showing up.

OUTrun Club started in July 2022 when founder Alexia couldn't find a Montreal run club that matched her vision, so she created one. What began as a group chat has blossomed into a vibrant community of over 750 runners who show up every Saturday at 11am at the Bridge in Parc Lafontaine. The club's philosophy centers on inclusivity, flexibility, and genuine fun, welcoming everyone from LGBTQ+ runners to total newcomers with zero judgment and zero intimidation. After each run, the crew gathers for café hangs and real friendships, creating the kind of warmth that keeps people returning week after week. In 2017, Jeremy and a group of local runners gathered in Montreal's Notre-Dame-de-Grace neighborhood with a simple idea: running could be more than miles and splits. Run Rite Athletics Crew became their answer, built on the belief that the best runs happen when creativity and camaraderie share the same route. Every Thursday evening, they meet at Ciele Athletics HQ to chase hills, trails, and neighborhood streets, welcoming runners at every pace and perspective. What started as a handful of friends has grown into a lively community that treats running as a cultural event, not just a fitness activity. Open-minded and rooted in local energy, the crew continues to shape Montreal's grassroots running scene, proving that connection matters as much as the kilometers.
