Join us for the Shenandoah Coal Cracker 10K!

The Coal Cracker 10k is an iconic running event nestled in the heart of the Coal Region. Beginning in the center of Shenandoah (PA), runners take off through downtown Shenandoah before being met with the first of many challenging hills. The course then takes the runners through the twists, turns, and gently rolling hills of the Coal Region before taking a left turn up the infamous St. Nick's breaker. Runners will test their grit and endurance as they face this steep, seemingly endless hill. Once at the top, runners will have a 1 mile cruise downhill back into town where the finish line waits atop a short but nasty incline! The Coal Cracker 10k is a challenging race that will leave runners feeling breathless and accomplished. All participants are invited to attend the awards ceremony complete with world famous Mrs. T's Pierogies and cold Yuengling beer. After the awards join the Coal Cracker after party hosted by The Lyric Bar & Restaurant. The Coal Cracker offers 50+ unique awards, each

hand crafted from the finest coal in Schuylkill County.

In addition to the 10K, the Coal Cracker will also be offering a 1.5 Kids' Fun Run open to children 12 and under. The Coal Cracker will also be holding a 1.5 mile run/ walk!

    Hamburg Half Marathon

The Hamburg Half Marathon is a fast run on the local favorite Schuylkill River Trail (SRT). The SRT runs along the banks of the Schuylkill River. This course is extremally scenic and located in the historic area running in between the Blue Mountains and across the Appalachian Trail.

All runners will get a long sleeved tech shirt and free hot breakfast items after the race!

*This year we are going to be more sustainable by switching from bottles of water at the finish line to having cold ice water with reusable plastic cups that runners can use to rehydrate.

The Splash Dash kicks off an all day Celebration for America 250 in Cressona. The Splash Dash is a 2.50 mile FUN* run/walk that promises to be a fun event for all ages and abilities. You will traverse through the streets of Cressona to support our beloved town pool that needs $1.2 million dollars in repairs and upgrades before we can re-open it. Rally your friends and family and even your pets, and join folks of all ages and skill levels. We do ask that the only wheels allowed on the course, for safety, are strollers or wagons, please.

*Please note this is an un-timed event. Participants are welcome to use self-timers, if interested. We are trying to promote community spirit as we start our pool fundraising.

The action starts and ends at the town pool on Graeff Street, where plenty of parking is available. The streets of Cressona will be full of folks cheering you on too! The Cressona Band will be playing for us and celebrating with us, as we finish our FUN run/walk. You won't want to miss this event, as there will be lots more fun along the way!

Wear your best patriotic wear or even pool accessories to join in the spirit of celebrating America's 250th birthday, in Cressona. This is our first major fundraising event for the pool and we appreciate your support so very much!

Special Splash Dash T-shirts will be available for kids (ages five and above) and adults alike. Virtual participants may also select a special t-shirt! You may order a t-shirt with your race registration. The registration deadline to snag your T-shirt will be July 1st.
