    Kopli Sörk

Kopli Sörk started in November 2024 with a simple frustration: traditional running culture felt gatekept, expensive, and obsessed with numbers. In Kopli, Tallinn's historic working-class neighbourhood, two founders decided to do something radical. They opened the door completely. No membership fees, no required gear, no performance hierarchy, no pace groups dividing runners into tiers. Just show up, move, belong. Within weeks, around 90 runners from across the city found their way to Bekker Pagariäri, a neighbourhood landmark, for Wednesday mornings at 7:10 and evenings at 18:30, plus Sunday long runs at 9:00. What pulled them in wasn't the run itself. It was permission to arrive exactly as they were. Kopli Sörk treats movement as the foundation for trust and human connection, not as a metric to optimize. Friendships bloom across social circles that would never otherwise intersect. This is running as radical accessibility.
