For the fifth year, Delta Delta Delta sorority and Race Day Events offers a 5k race. For 2026, the venue returns to beautiful UT Gardens, with a course largely contained on the Third Creek greenway....

For the fifth year, Delta Delta Delta sorority and Race Day Events offers a 5k race. For 2026, the venue returns to beautiful UT Gardens, with a course largely contained on the Third Creek greenway.

Soft cotton race logo shirts to all, with Overall and Age Group awards. Post race refreshments and large assortment of snacks.

Race starts at 10am at UT Gardens on the University of Tennessee Ag Campus. Day of race registration available at 9am.

Proceeds, as with the mini triathlon for years, will again go to East TN Children's Hospital/Camp Eagles Nest, a summer camp for children with cancer and rare blood disorders

First up in the Grand Shizzle Pool Sprint Series is The North Knox Sprint Triathlon at the Tennova Family YMCA!

The swim will be in their beautiful indoor swimming pool with a very nice run along the scenic backdrop of North Halls! The bike ride will take you through some equally delightful scenery with a few feet in elevation gain! Distances = Swim 150 yards, Bike 9.5 miles, Run 5K

A great way to start the pool sprint season!

Packet pickup will be Race Site from 6 a.m. to 7:15 a.m. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. All USAT rules apply and an annual or one-day USAT license is required.

Age Groups and Awards: Overall awards for the top three male and female finishers & first overall male and female masters. Age group awards for first, second, and third place in the following M & F age groups: 12-15, 16-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45- 49, 50-55, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70 and over & top 3 Clydesdale & Athena. Top 3 Relays and Top 3 Aquabike awards

Event Cancellation / Modification Policy - If a Natural Disaster or Community Disaster occurs, our action steps are as follows:

Personal Best Racing in concert with local officials will make decisions based on safety first. 2. Courses and/or race segments will be altered as agreed to between Personal Best Management and local officials 3. Financial: It is not financially feasible for Personal Best Racing to accept the risk of a disaster for everyone. Each registered participant needs to accept the risk of his or her entry fee. There will be NO REFUNDS or free entries to future races. The money you paid is spent developing the subject event. 4. Personal Best Racing does not save any money if one of our events has to be canceled for reasons beyond our control. All supplies and services needed for the events are purchased and/or arranged in advance. All event supplies and services associated with that event must be paid for, regardless of the outcome.

Perfect for aspiring beginners and seasoned racers, this clinic will help you dial in the fundamentals of open water swimming, so you can swim safely and confidently. Competitive swimmers will learn skills to manage pace and the competition.

We'll cover

Preparation - gear, goggles, wetsuits, course scouting
Mindset - dismantling fear, building confidence, finding rhythm
Safety - wildlife, temperature, boats, wind, current, debris, emergencies
Navigation - sighting, judging distance
Technique - pacing, stroke adjustment for conditions, racing strategies, buoy turns

BONUS Webinar - Join us online Monday 27 April at 7 pm ET for a FREE online educational session, for an explanation of concepts and few skills you can practice prior to arriving at the Clinics. Q & A time!

Join us for 3 different swim distances: 1-mile, 1.6-mile, and 3.3-mile. The event is sanctioned by both US Masters Swimming (USMS) and USA Swimming. Participants must be at least 11 years of age as of 31 December 2026 and members in good standing of either USMS or USA Swimming. Race age determined as of 12/31 of this year.

Tucked in the hills of beautiful East Tennessee, Bussell Island is located in the gentle waters of the Little Tennessee River. Originally inhabited by various Native American Cultures, the island is believed to be the location of the capital Coste - a Missippian Period chieftom visited by the famous explorer, Henry DeSoto. Fast forward 1,500+ years and Bussell Island is now how home to a beautiful riverfront park with boating access, nature trails, a small sand beach, and a historic preserve. With its calm clear waters, Bussell Island is the perfect setting to host an open water swim race for swimmers of all abilities.
