    ABOUT FOLLOW MY STEPS

    DID YOU KNOW?

Young Adults Who Were At-Risk for Falling Off Track but Had a Mentor Are:

    • 55% more likely to enroll in college

    • 130% more likely to hold leadership positions.

    • 78% more likely to volunteer regularly

    • 90% are interested in becoming a mentor

Our organization is headed by strong professional who are dedicated to elevating under-resourced students and their families. We understand that there is a disproportionate representation of minorities in key decision-making positions in all facets of leadership in the current time. We aim to close that gap by providing deserving students with the opportunity for financial, mental, and professional education. By offering mentorships to scholarship recipients, we aim to grow a network of like-minded individuals who will continuously give back to their communities and others alike.

    VIRTUAL 5K OPTION: #MentoringMatters5K

The $40 registration fee serves as a donation to support resources for youth empowerment, including providing school supplies, financial aid for college-bound students, and hosting skill development workshops. This fun-run isn't just about clocking miles; it's also about doing good. Proceeds will go to Westover Galaxy Community Council to lift up our Westover military families and help launch the sky-high excitement for the 2027 Great New England Air Show.

Kick-off and finish line are at the Westover Metropolitan Airport—the civilian side of things. But, you'll be strutting into a military zone, so expect James Bond-level security! Pre-run vetting is mandatory and Real IDs are required, and leave those carry-ons behind because nothing’s allowed to tag along during the run. We've got a handy key and bag check for you. Wheelchair and stroller users, please plan to arrive early for clearance. And sorry, Fido, this isn't a puppy parade—please leave pets at home this time around!

What's NEW this year? We are hosting a charity Car Show starting at 9:00am on the other side of the airport. Hang out after the run and enjoy a variety of awesome cars competing for best in decade, rockin' 50s, 60s and 70s music, food trucks, raffles and more! Car Show runs from 9am - 1pm!
