The Bucks for Bucs 5K Race and Fun Walk supports the Bucks for Bucs Educational Foundation, which serves the Chartiers-Houston School District, the home of the Buccaneers. We expand the educational opportunities of students through scholarships, teacher grants, and community events.
The Bucks for Bucs 5K Race and Fun Walk begins 9:00 a.m. and ends at the Chartiers-Houston High School stadium and runs through a residential neighborhood with rolling hills. The race ends back at the stadium with 300 meters on the stadium track! The 1 Mile Fun Walk will start at the same time as the start of the 5K. There will also be a Kids Mile Run on the track at 8:30 a.m., a half an hour before the race; this kids mile will be for any child in 6th grade or below. The event also includes pre- and post-race food and drink for competitors. 50/50 and Silent Auction tickets will be available for purchase.
**A cotton shirt and goodie bag are guaranteed to all who register on or before March 16, 2026.
Door prize tickets will be included with registration. Special Awards will be given to top three men and women overall in the 5k Race. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers in following age categories for the 5K Race: 8 and under, 9-11, 12-14, 15-17, 18-20, 21-24, 25-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-over. 5K Course description:
1.) START on the hill next to press box at Chartiers-Houston Stadium.
2.) Follow upper stadium driveway and left exit through the gate.
3.) Make a right onto McGovern Road.
4.) Follow McGovern Road past Allison Park Elementary (on the left).
5.) Make a left to stay on McGovern Road.
6.) Make a right onto Adlin Ave. (Water station here) (baseball field to the left)
7.) Continue on Adlin Ave. (1 mile marker halfway up Adlin Ave.)
8.) Make a right onto Country Barn Road.
9.) Make a quick left onto Fair Meadow Circle and loop around cone back down Fair Meadow Circle.
10.) Left onto Adlin Ave. and continue on Adlin Ave.
11.) Make left at McGovern Road and right to stay on McGovern Road.
12.) Make a left onto Linda Lane (2 mile marker here)
13.) Make a right on Walnut Street.
14.) Make a right onto Green Street.
15.) Make a left onto McGovern Road.
16.) Make a quick left onto upper stadium driveway through the gate.
17.) Take upper stadium driveway down the hill to the Chartiers-Houston stadium track.
18.) Keep right around the outside of the fence.
19.) Enter track near the stadium entrance.
20.) Complete 300 meters on the track and FINISH at the finish line of the track. (3.1 miles)

4.) Make right onto SIlver Maples Rd. (across front Elementary School)

- Make a quick left onto upper stadium driveway through the gate and FINISH same as start line.

Race Bag Pick-up/Registration: 7:00 am - 8:45 am at Chartiers-Houston Field House
Kid's Mile- 8:30 a.m.

Arrival Info:
Try to arrive at least 30 minutes before start of the race. Participants will pick up race bag in Chartiers-Houston Field House. There is plenty of parking near field house. Race starts and finishes at Chartiers-Houston Stadium. You may warm up for the race on the track or in the field house gymnasium. Awards, etc. will be back in the field house following the end of the race.
What to wears:
Dress according to the weather. If it's cold, bundle up! Watches, I-pods, and headphones are acceptable during the race.

This will be a timed 5K and shirts will be provided if you sign up by the shirt deadline date
The race will start and end at Helicon Brewing in Oakdale (102 Union Ave, Oakdale, PA 15071). The course will be 1.55 miles on the Panhandle trail headed towards McDonald and then back.
A 1 mile family fun walk is also available but will not be a timed event.
This event will have day of packet pickup. More information will be sent to all registered runners a day or two before the race.
Our shirts are always a runner favorite and are soft blend unisex t-shirt that feel and look great. These shirts will say Summer Slay 5K on them.

The Brookline Breeze is a challenging 5K fitness run/walk on the rolling hills of Brookline, a neighborhood located in the South Hills of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The 5K course takes runners and walkers from Brookline Memorial Park to the city border with Dormont and back again. The 3.1 mile route follows Brookline Boulevard to Pioneer Avenue, then turns left and proceeds to a turn-around near West Liberty Avenue, then back again.
Breeze Day fun begins at 7:30am with packet pickup and pre-race registrations. The first event of the morning is the One-Mile Mini-Breeze for the young ones, followed by the One-mile Dog Walk. The Mini-Breeze course is laid out around the perimeter of Brookline Memorial Park. Then, at 9:00am, it's time for the main event, the 5K run/walk.

Join us for the Corny 5k & 1 mile run/walk. During corn and wheat harvest time, we are holding this event to help raise funds for the restoration of First Lutheran Church. Our church building is 100 years old this year in 2026 and we are fundraising for various repairs and updates.
