The Bucks for Bucs 5K Race and Fun Walk supports the Bucks for Bucs Educational Foundation, which serves the Chartiers-Houston School District, the home of the Buccaneers. We expand the educational opportunities of students through scholarships, teacher grants, and community events.

The Bucks for Bucs 5K Race and Fun Walk begins 9:00 a.m. and ends at the Chartiers-Houston High School stadium and runs through a residential neighborhood with rolling hills. The race ends back at the stadium with 300 meters on the stadium track! The 1 Mile Fun Walk will start at the same time as the start of the 5K. There will also be a Kids Mile Run on the track at 8:30 a.m., a half an hour before the race; this kids mile will be for any child in 6th grade or below. The event also includes pre- and post-race food and drink for competitors. 50/50 and Silent Auction tickets will be available for purchase.

**A cotton shirt and goodie bag are guaranteed to all who register on or before March 16, 2026.

Door prize tickets will be included with registration. Special Awards will be given to top three men and women overall in the 5k Race. Spots will be very limited to ensure we have a smooth flow for every participant.

Get ready for an action-packed morning of fitness, competition, and fun at our Sweat Bar Fitness Mini HYROX Event on Sunday, April 12th from 7:00am–11:00am.

    Event Divisions

    Solo – Open

Perfect for anyone who wants to experience the event and challenge themselves in a supportive atmosphere. This division is for solo participants who want to have fun and complete the challenge vs. strict form and rep judging.

Solo – Comp (Men / Women)

For athletes who want to compete and push the pace. Participants in this division will receive an official time, and placing and awards will be based on the Comp division only.

    • Weights and reps are the same as the Open division

    • Judging on movement standards and form will be stricter

    • Comp divisions will go first to ensure the most competitive environment and help prevent bottlenecks (although we fully plan for the event to flow smoothly).

    • Men’s Doubles

    • Women’s Doubles

    • Mixed Doubles
