    REGULATION

The existing World Athletics regulations will be enforced in Mexico.

    GUIDELINES

The Mexico City Half Marathon is supported by World of Athletics in Mexico.

    BIB NUMBER:

A timing chip will be affixed, programmed with the printed participation number, which will be non-transferable and must be displayed on the front at chest height during the entire race to qualify as an official race participant.

    HEALTHCARE COST INSURANCE:

In the event of an accident, the runner must possess the number; otherwise, the accident will not be covered.

It is essential to write the runner's name on the back of the number, along with their blood type. Additionally, any allergies or medical conditions should also be noted.

    SERVICES:

The designated supply area for runners with numbers must be adhered to.

    RECOVERY PLAN:

Finisher's medal, fruit, water, and isotonic drink are exclusively for runners displaying their official race number. Runners lacking a number will be disqualified from the race and denied entry to the recovery area.

    T-SHIRT DIMENSION:

The inquiry regarding t-shirt size during the registration process is exclusively for statistical purposes, and this does not obligate the Organizing Committee to provide the selected size to the runner.

    RUNNER DEPARTURE:

Participants must ensure they arrive at the designated starting point, as indicated by the relevant block corresponding to their registration details.

Any participant who enters the starting area outside of their designated zone will be disqualified. For your safety and the safety of all other runners, it is crucial to adhere to the starting block.

    TIMES AND OUTCOMES:

Throughout the entire course, timing mats will be placed; it is crucial to pass through all checkpoints to prevent disqualification. As runners go through the checkpoints, their progress can be monitored in real time using the Half Marathon App; please be aware that the times and results displayed are not the official ones.

    UNAUTHORIZED PARTICIPANTS:

They are prohibited from participating in the race and will be instructed to exit the route.

Any person without official registration who enters or accompanies a participant during the event will be required to exit the course immediately. These unauthorized runners jeopardize the safety and quality of service for those who have registered and paid appropriately. Additionally, participants found with a counterfeit bib number will face penalties and will be barred from competing in events under the "Mexico City Marathon" brand (including races leading up to the Marathon, Half Marathon, and Mexico City Marathon) in the upcoming years.

    ROUTE BOUNDARY DEFINITION:

Participants are required to stay within the boundaries of the route, which are defined by fences, signs, or other indicators, at all times. Participants must acknowledge and comprehend the event signage, including the symbols used for race directions and services, and adhere to the instructions provided by the authorities.

    Noncompliance will lead to disqualification.

    TIME DEADLINE:

Runners will be permitted to maintain a pace of up to 8:30 minutes per kilometer, which corresponds to finishing the course in a maximum duration of 3 hours. If they run slower than this pace, they will be required to board the sweep vehicle that will trail behind and transport them to the finish line. These runners will be disqualified and will not be reflected in the official results.

    ROUTE OVERSIGHT:

Failure to finish the entire course or cross the finish line will lead to disqualification. Participants with incomplete or irregular markings on the official timing mats will be subject to inspection and may face disqualification. If a participant must exit the course or re-enter, they may only do so at the same location and will not be permitted to re-enter the race, whether to improve their position or assist another competitor.

NOTE: All participants who are found to be engaging in unsportsmanlike behavior, as well as those who take shortcuts along the course to finish without completing the full route, will be disqualified.

    JUDGES

The judges will receive approval from World Athletics in Mexico, and an Electronic Timing System will be utilized, featuring a chip attached to the competitor's number, which must be worn on the front during the entire race (this system serves only as support and does not determine the winners).
