Race Pace Coaching is an affiliated squad based on the Sunshine Coast. We welcome athletes of all age groups and abilities from beginners to elite. Whilst there are many group sessions, we also offer personalised programs that are individualised and administered according to the goals of each individual and race calendar.

Swim The Coast, Support The Cause
A true ocean swim along one of the Sunshine Coastâs most iconic stretches.
From the Bluff to Alex, this is open water done properly. Saltwater, stamina and community, all in support of local surf lifesaving.
The Lexus Maroochydore Bluff to Bar is Alex Surf Clubâs signature ocean swim! A point-to-point challenge set along one of the Coastâs most recognisable headlands.
This isnât a pool swim. Itâs open water. Real conditions. Real coastline.
Swimmers move from the Bluff down to Alexandra Headland in a professionally managed, safety-supported event delivered by experienced surf lifesavers.
Whether youâre stepping up to your first ocean event or youâre a seasoned open water swimmer, Bluff to Bar is built for confident swimmers who respect the ocean and want to be part of something bigger.
Every entry supports local surf lifesaving and youth development at Alex Surf Club. Plus youâll get your very own finisher T-shirt!

500m Junior Ocean Swim
A shorter open water option designed for confident young swimmers between 9-11YO looking for a coastal challenge without the full distance.
1.2km Ocean Swim
The full Bluff to Bar experience. A true point-to-point ocean swim along the headland.

This is an ocean swim. Participants should feel comfortable swimming in open water conditions.
