The Door County Half Marathon & Nicolet Bay 5K

The Door County Half Marathon beings at 10:00 a.m. and is run on paved surfaces in Peninsula State Park. This U.S. Track and Field certified course starts and finishes near Nicolet Beach.

The course winds through the park, giving runners breathtaking views of Lake Michigan, shaded areas through the woods, challenging hills and ever-changing scenery throughout one of Wisconsin’s most popular parks.

The Nicolet Bay 5k begins at 10:15 a.m., just after the start of the half marathon. The race begins a few hundred yards west of the Half Marathon starting line on Shore Road. Participants will follow the out-and-back course to the Eagle Bluff Lighthouse, where runners will turn around to head back on Shore Road to the finish line.

The Nicolet Bay 5k will use the same finish line as the half marathon. Nearly all 5k participants will finish before the half marathon runners come through, while providing amazing views of Horseshoe Island, the lake, and the lighthouse.

Hairpin 5k Run & Walk

The Hairpin 5K Run/Walk is the longest-running 5K in Door County, WI, and it is a great July 4 tradition for runners and walkers of all ages. The race starts at 8 a.m.

Packet Pick Up will be held on July 3rd from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. at Gibraltar School (3924 WI-42, Fish Creek, WI 54212) and on July 4th from 6:30 - 7:30 a.m. downtown Fish Creek.

Friends of Gibraltar Schools has hosted the Hairpin 5K Run/Walk as a fundraising event for over 30 years, with the proceeds providing all of the funding each year for field trips and enrichment experiences for students in grades K-12 at Gibraltar Schools in Fish Creek, WI. Your participation allows Friends of Gibraltar to continue providing excellent educational programs for Gibraltar Schools.
