The Sun Prairie Community 5K is an annual event, this year, held at Token Springs Elementary in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, featuring a 5K race and a 1-mile fun run. The race course follows an out and back route along the bike paths in The Reserve neighborhood, offering participants a fun experience. Proceeds from the event support the Sun Prairie West Cross Country Team, funding college scholarships, awards, uniforms, supplies, and transportation to practices and competitions.
Tri 4 Schools is a part of Active Youth Wisconsin, a nonprofit committed to empowering kids to be happy, healthy, and confident through movement. To support our mission, we donate 100% of youth entry fees to the participants' schools.
We offer 4 in-person course distances for this race. While there are recommended ages listed below, please select the course that best matches your child’s ability and interest, regardless of age. Note that the Long Course is only open to athletes age 7 and older. If your athlete uses a bike with training wheels, they must be registered for the Short Course. There is also an At-Home option for participants who are interested in a virtual option. We strive to make our events accessible for children of all abilities; please contact us if you would like to discuss any specific accommodations for your athlete.
Long Course (recommended ages 11-14): Swim 100 yards (4 lengths of the pool), Bike 4 miles, Run 1.2 miles
Medium Course (recommended ages 7-10): Swim 50 yards (2 lengths of the pool), Bike 2.1 miles, Run 0.7 mile
Intermediate Course (recommended ages 7-10): Swim 25 yards (1 length of the pool), Bike 2.1 miles, Run 0.7 mile
Short Course (recommended ages 3-6): Swim 25 yards (exits 0-depth side of pool), Bike 0.5 mile, Run 0.2 mile
At-Home: Complete your race wherever and whenever you like! Please follow all traffic rules and safety recommendations as you complete your race.
parkrun is such a simple concept: turn up every Saturday and volunteer, walk, jog or run 5k.
PARTICIPANT CHECK-IN and ON-SITE REGISTRATION BEGINS at 6:45 AM.
Join us on Saturday, August 15, 2026 for the sixth annual Race for a Place to Call Home to benefit Project 16:49. The event takes place in Janesville’s beautiful Riverside Park - the start / finish line is located at the North Pavilion. Registration / check-in is from 6:45 to 7:15 AM. The first runners will start the course at 7:30 AM; walkers will begin after all runners are on the course. The event will be held rain or shine!
Professional chipped timing will be provided for all runners. The 5K course is flat and fast - a great opportunity to set a new PR. Trophies will be awarded to the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place finishers in the men's and women's 5K and 10K timed events, along with other prizes for age group winners.

Project 16:49 is a local non-profit organization serving Rock County’s unaccompanied homeless youth in area high schools and the community. Project 16:49 provides basic needs assistance and case management, and operates two transitional living homes where residents have the time, space and support to address their situations as they begin to heal, learn key life skills, increase their self-sufficiency, and prepare for independent living while completing their high school education and/or working. Race the Lake is in its 16th year and an 88 mile race/ride around the majestic Lake Winnebago, full of scenic diversity and is enjoyed by all abilities from professional to the beginning cyclists.

The course will stage the dramatic start at Lakeside Park in Fond du Lac. The journey begins by heading north hugging the west side of Lake Winnebago and traveling through Oshkosh, Neenah, Menasha, Appleton and to the half way point at High Cliff State Park. Riders then take the east shoreline of Lake Winnebago - taking in lots of greenery, the mammoth blue lake and fresh country air. The course goes through Calumetville, Marytown, and St. Peter, and finishes at Lakeside Park (158 E. Harbor Drive) in Fond du Lac.
