The 5K run/walk will symbolize distances traveled to access water in other parts of the globe. All proceeds from the Run 4 Water MKE go to projects designed and built by Engineers Without Borders at UW-Milwaukee providing clean water to villages in rural Guatemala.

The virtual race can be completed any time between 6:00 AM on Saturday, April 18 and 10:30 AM on Sunday, April 26. Awards will be mailed out after the race.

Celebrate the 13th annual Sweet Home Milwaukee at the Lakefront!

Please join us on Sunday, May 3rd for an inclusive 5k race designed for all ages and abilities. Whether you're a local, a transplant, or a Brew City enthusiast, we welcome you at Veterans Park for a gorgeous 5k along the Lakefront.

Cheering on all things Milwaukee- this event is produced and sponsored by many MKE businesses.

Registration Options

General 5k Registration | All general 5k options are open to all ages and abilities! Registration includes a long-sleeved shirt, finisher's medal, race bib, chip-timed race, Bloody Mary at Brunch, a dish of Fred's Frozen Custard on race day, and a donation to Hunger Task Force.

Kid's 5k Registration | This option is for kids under 10 years old in the 5k. All registered kid entries include a finisher's medal, race bib, and a dish of Fred's frozen custard. NOTE: Kid entries are untimed and do not include a shirt. Shirts are available as an additional add-on. There is only 1 (one) 5k race. There is not a separate kid's race.

Age 5 and under: Registration is not required. If you would like to receive the medal, bib, and frozen custard - please register the kiddos :-)

Virtual Registration | All virtual 5k options are open to all ages and abilities! Registration includes a long-sleeved shirt, finisher's medal, race bib, dish of Frozen Custard at Fred's, and a donation to Hunger Task Force.

All virtual registrations will be mailed beginning May 4. You do not need to wait for your packet to arrive to complete your race. If you would like your packet earlier, you may pick-up at Packet Pick-Up on May 3.

Can't make it? You may switch to the virtual race for whatever reason and we'll mail your packet. Make the change to your registration on runsignup.com no later than race day.
