2026 Point to La Pointe - Open Water Swim
Swimming to Madeline Island has been a storied feat around the Bayfield area for decades. Starting as a community swim for 24 people in 2006, the Point to La Pointe has grown into a thriving race that sells out annually.

GIRLS still just wanna have FUN!! And we are doing it here in Ashland, WI, with a race for every chick!!
On Saturday, September 12th, get your girlfriends together and
come to Ashland dressed in your blingest best and walk, run, skip or jump in the annual Chick-uamegon 1-mile/5K & 10K walk/run. Race starts at 10am!!
This year we have moved the event to an earlier date hoping for warmer weather and paired it with the Muralfest, Car Show and Cornhole Tournament! A day packed with FUN!
This race is truly a FUN RUN!
Prizes will be given away to;
3 places for Blingest or Best Costume ( $50/$25/$25 in Chamber Dollars);

Welcome to the Tamarack Health WhistleStop Marathon and Half- Marathon! Join us on our beautiful marathon course that begins in Iron River, Wisconsin and finishes in Ashland, Wisconsin on Lake
Superior’s south shore.
The scenic fall backdrop will surround you as you run on a gradual decline towards the finish line in Ashland. Our fall marathon offers you spectacular views of the countryside, fall colors, and the most fun- friendly aid stations. It’s easy to see why the WhistleStop is the Upper Midwest’s best fall classic.
Trying to qualify for Boston, or you might be hoping for that Personal Record, or this may be a first long-distance event for you.
