Cross Plains Parks and Rec invites you to the annual Trout Days Run/Walk! It will start and finish at the Cross-Plains Berry Fire Station. There will be a 5k run and 1 mile run/walk with wave starts. First wave begins at 8:30am. In addition, there will be a short Troutlet Trot: Race for Children (~1/4 mile) at 8:15am. Proceeds will go towards park safety projects. *Official timing will be provided for the 5k and 1 mile run/walk. T-shirts are not guaranteed for late registrants, register by April 15 to guarantee a shirt. Medals provided for 5K and 1 mile run/walk as you cross the finish line.
Packet pick up: Friday, 5/1 at the Cross Plains Berry Fire Station from 5:30 - 6:30pm.

The Lake Monona 20K Run and 5K Run/Walk, taking place on Saturday, May 2, 2026 offers a beautiful course with springtime temperatures ideal for running, and combines small-race feel with big-race perks. For those with longer distance ambitions, this “almost” half marathon is a great way to peak your spring training, or to prepare for a spring marathon. For those interested in a shorter distance to tackle, there is also a 5K run/walk option.

Pickup of your race bib and shirt prior to race day is strongly encouraged. Pickup will take place: Friday at Bakken Park Shelter, 4064 Vilas Road, Cottage Grove, WI 53527.
