Our annual event will be held on August 8, 2026. This event is for runners, walkers, and bikers of all skill levels. Proceeds raised at this event will help support the Wisconsin Lions Camp, which provides a free camping experience to Wisconsin youth and adults with disabilities.

The 4th Annual Standing Rocks Enduro Mountain Bike Race at Standing Rocks County Park in Stevens Point, WI. The Expert category will have 8 Stages, the Sport category will have 6 stages, and the Youth category will have 4 stages (subject to change). Overall finish positions will be determined by the racer's total cumulative time after completing all 4 Youth stages, all 6 Sport, and all 8 Expert runs in their category. All race stage runs need to be completed in the allotted time period (subject to change) after your race category starts. This includes racing all the stages and riding transfers back to each stage start. All the stages aren't finalized yet, but for the Youth and Sport categories, there will be slower ride-around options for any stages with gap jumps. (All categories are subject to change.)
Hosted by the Standing Rocks Enduro Event Crew, Point Area Singletrack Association (PASTA), and Standing Rocks County Park. Event proceeds raised from this event will go back into maintaining and developing the mountain bike trails at Standing Rocks County Park.

The Lakeland Rotary's Annual Rump Roast Run in beautiful, Minocqua WI goes back to our roots so to speak...both the 5k and 10k courses will begin again in downtown Minocqua and finish at the trestle at the entrance to the Bearskin State Trail. . The course hugs the shore of beautiful Lake Minocqua and both courses give way to wooded lanes that lead eventually to the Bearskin Trail. A children's 1-mile race rounds out the events and an awards ceremony caps off the morning with cow bells for the winners and a large beef roast(s) for the top male and female finishers in each race.
AFTER THE RACE, stay and enjoy Beef-A-Rama one of Wisconsin's wackier food festivals, including merchants roasting beef, beer gardens, and live bands. TAKE YOUR BIB to the Rotary Beer Garden and receive a FREE beverage after the race. Must be 21 or older to redeem for an alcoholic beverage.
IN PERSON REGISTRATION AND PACKET PICK-UP: Friday from 4:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. and Saturday form 6:30 a.m.-8:30 a.m. at the American Legion, 121 Front Street, directly across the street from the Minocqua Post Office.
Calf Mile: $15. This is a 1 Mile race for ages 10 and under. Starting line is at the Bearskin Trail Head on the Island. Look for the cow. Warm up and instruction at 8:15 a.m. Race Start at 8:30 a.m.
5K Run: This is just over 5K run/walk. Starting line is on Hwy 51 at the stop lights and Veterans Park on the Island. The course runs North on 51 along the Minocqua lakeshore, continuing down Lakeview Dr to a Left onto Old Hwy 70 Rd to a Left on Dr. Pink Dr to a Left onto the Bearskin Trail across the trestle over Lake Minocqua to the finish. Warm up is at 8:45 a.m. Start is at 9:00 a.m. Student Rates for 19 & Under
10K Run:. This is a 10K run that takes off with and follows the 5K course until you get to the Bearskin Trail. 10K runners turn right onto the Bearskin Trail to run the trail through the scenic wetlands and woods between Lake Minocqua and Lake Kawaguesaga to Baker Lake Rd where they turn around and return down the trail across the trestle to the finish. Warm up is at 8:45 a.m. Start is at 9:00 a.m. Student rates for 19 & Under.

Registration and packet pickup in person until Saturday, SEPT 5 from 5:00 - 7:00 pm and Sunday, Sept 6, from 5:00 am to 7:45 am at the American Legion, downtown Minocqua, 121 W Front St.

The Minocqua Professional Police Association (MPPA) is hosting a Run with the Cops 5K. All proceeds will go to our non-profit association which helps fund several causes including our Shop-with-a-Cop program, helping families in need, and sponsoring school baseball teams. The goal of the MPPA is to not only host an event to support the community but to host a fun and relaxed event to create relationships between our local police and the community. Lastly, we will be bringing back the cops and robbers theme, so put on your best costume!
The 5K run or walk will take place October 3rd, 2026 beginning at 3:00pm. Day-of-registration will be available starting at 2:00pm. The cost of the run will be $30. Ages 12 and under can register for free. Medals will be awarded to the top 3 male and female finishers.
Run with the Cops 5K will take place and start at the Bearskin Trestle as an out and back course on the Bearskin Trail.

Brain cancer is an overlooked and serious cancer that has affected many people's lives today. The Forrest Run is named after Forrest Olson, who passed away from brain cancer. This run supports a non-profit foundation for brain cancer research and supports families that have a loved one suffering from brain cancer. There will be snacks, music and drinks, as well as medals for the winners of the race. All are welcome to be a part of this great cause and have a good time. The Annual Kornfest Run is the largest fundraiser of the year for the Holmen Knights of Columbus, providing help to people in need in the La Crosse, Onalaska, and Holmen Area.

The first Saturday after Labor Day has the scenic town of Elroy, Wisconsin, sponsoring its very own Apple Dumpling Days. As part of the festivities, The Elroy Lions Club hosts the Elroy Apple Dumpling Day Races.
The first races were in 2007 with a 5K and a single kids race. The Apple Dumpling Day Races expanded in 2008 and added a very successful ½ marathon and an additional kids race for the very young. In 2013, a certified full marathon was added to the venue.
