The Hooked on Lake Holcombe 5K Fun Run, organized by Lifebridge Holcombe UMC, takes place in the beautiful Lake Holcombe, Wisconsin resort area. The 5K run/walk route is mostly flat and goes through Holcombe, with road and trail terrain. This is more than just a 5K run/walk! Our event will have a 90 yard dash for the kids. Food and beverages will be available. After the run, you can check out the many other attractions that the Lake Holcombe resort area has to offer, such as camping, restaurants, bars, hiking trails, kayaking, canoeing, boating and fishing! Participants of the 5K run/walk will receive a free Hooked on Lake Holcombe 5K Fun Run t-shirt. Register by 6/18/2026 for early bird price of $25.00, plus guaranteed t-shirt size. Registration fee after 6/18/2026 is $30.00. Day of run registration fee is $30.00. Registration opens at 7:30 am day of run. Run starts promptly at 9:00am.

The ECYC season runs from early July to late October and is open to young people grades 6-12 (as of the coming Fall) in the Eau Claire, Altoona, Mondovi, and Eleva-Strum school districts. Student athletes will practice twice per week and may also have the opportunity to participate in field trips to other trail systems, weekend endurance rides, team social events, the amazing Wisconsin NICA youth racing series, and our end-of-the-season party.
Practices are Tuesday and Thursday evenings.
Registration includes an ECYC t-shirt and personalized bike name plate for each student athlete.
In addition to this local team registration, all participants will be required to register with the National Interscholastic Cycling Association (NICA) and Wisconsin Interscholastic Cycling League and pay the associated national and league fees. Financial assistance is available.

The Sadistic Century is a fun and challenging road bicycle ride on hilly, smooth, quiet roads in Western Wisconsin. Routes include 100 miles, 100 km, 60 km, and 50 km lengths with three distinct rest stops mainly in Dunn County, Wisconsin (a short drive from Madison or the Twin Cities area). We serve a great meal with refreshments after the ride.

Brain cancer is an overlooked and serious cancer that has affected many people's lives today. The Forrest Run is named after Forrest Olson, who passed away from brain cancer. This run supports a non-profit foundation for brain cancer research and supports families that have a loved one suffering from brain cancer. There will be snacks, music and drinks, as well as medals for the winners of the race. All are welcome to be a part of this great cause and have a good time. Please come down by yourself, with a friend, or with your family. This run is sponsored by your Rice Lake FBLA chapter. Remember, Live for Today!

Lace up your trail shoes and get ready for the Red Yeti Rampage, a fall trail run hosted by the Chippewa Valley Nordic Ski Team (The Red Yetis) at Tower Ridge! Choose from the 5K, 10K, or new for 2026: the 15K Yeti Challenge route — all begin and end at the Chalet. Hikers/Walkers/Trekkers are encouraged as well!
Every entrant enjoys a hearty post-race lunch! Afterwards, stick around for awards, door prizes, refreshments, and great community vibes. Whether you're pushing for a PR or just soaking in the scenery, it’s a race for all levels!
