Welcome to Run Like The Wind Trail Running Festival! In collaboration with Puget Sound Energy, Wild Horse Wind and Solar Facility and Run for Good Racing Company we present to you a 5K, 10K, and a free kids dash, woven along the trails, paths and roads of the majestic wind turbines outside of Ellensburg.

These races will be challenging, most likely with a bit of wind, and more certainly with a lot of elevation gain and drop and a few tough trails, but gorgeous with views of Mt. Rainier, the Columbia River and the Eastern Washington plains.

Get a guided tour of the wind farm either before or after your race and see the awesome power of the wind.

Beer courtesy of Iron Horse Brewery, and great, homemade food await you at the finish line.

Swag:

Everyone will receive a race shirt, sweet finisher's wooden medal, and custom race bib. But, in order to lessen our environmental impact, we’re partnering with Trees Not Tees to offer you the option of planting a tree instead of receiving our event swag. You’ll receive a certificate from Trees Not Tees that includes a picture of your tree, details of the species, and a unique geo-location address so you can even go and visit.

ONLINE REGISTRATION CLOSES WED. JULY 3RD AT 5PM BUT YOU CAN REGISTER ON SITE DAY OF THE RACE STARTING AT 7:00AM. STILL JUST $25. Cash, check and card accepted.

A fun, family friendly community race at Rotary Park! Flat and fast!!! Awards for top 3 male and female. Last day to register with t-shirt option is June 26th at midnight.

All proceeds will go towards Ellensburg Morning Rotary Local Foundation to support Ellensburg/Kittitas County needs.

Race Day Schedule:

• 7:00am Onsite registration YOU CAN STILL REGISTER DAY OF RACE!

• 8:30am 5k race start

• 9:45am Kids races (additional $5.00)

• 100m dash for 5yrs and under

• 400m dash for 6-10yrs

• ALL kids will receive a prize

• 10:00am Awards Top 3 Male/Female and 1st Youth Boy/Girl 14yrs and under
