Dirt for Dinner is a fall community mountain bike ride and fundraiser bringing people together around bikes, food justice, and community in Vermont!

This is a non-competitive, ride-at-your-own-pace event open to mountain bikers of all abilities. Riders will gather for a relaxed group ride followed by a casual hangout with snacks and conversation.

During registration, participants will choose one of three Vermont-based nonprofit organizations to support with their entry fee:

• Salvation Farms — food recovery, gleaning, and farm surplus distribution

• Intervale Center — farmer support, land stewardship, and local food systems

• Hunger Free Vermont — hunger prevention policy and nutrition equity

• Location: Central Vermont trail system (exact location to be announced)

• Date: Saturday, October 10

• Arrival: 10:00 AM

• Ride Start: 10:30 AM

Ride routes are informal and self-guided, allowing riders to choose distances and paces that feel right for them. After the ride, we’ll hang out at the trailhead with snacks and information about the organizations supported.

This event is intentionally small, low-impact, and community-focused. Please be respectful of trails and other users.
