Date: Saturday, June 20th
Start time: 7:55am
Location: Champlain Orchards, Shoreham, Vermont
Come join a community of warm, endurance minded, bright spirited
women riders as we celebrate the summer solstice with a 100/50mi journey through the rolling gravel hills of Addison County, starting and ending at Champlain Orchards, one of the oldest, continually operating orchards in Vermont. Whether you're experienced with rides of longer duration or have been working to develop comfort and confidence as you build your capacity, there's opportunity here for you. Women's Cycling Collective is focused on offering collaborative, rider-focused events designed to support, encourage and connect women while they explore their potential through the context of the bike and the lens of endurance, training, and the natural world. We invite you to be part of the collective energy that serves to uplift, empower, and inspire women both on and off the bike.
Thank you to our generous business supporters and partners for enriching rider experience and making this event possible: Velocio, Physical Therapy, Frog Hollow Bikes, Bennett Creative Co., Champlain Orchards, Twig Farm, Bivo, and Bicycle Express.

For women completing the 100, this will provide a sense of familiarity in the second half, with a different perspective and feel since riding in the opposite direction.
Since our personal paces vary, many women will have crossover as they complete the first fifty miles and/or continue for a second lap as they work towards one hundred, promoting a sense of togetherness, an opportunity to cheer each other along, or simply share a smile or wave in recognition of our shared experience.
The route will be partially marked. Riders are expected to carry bike computers/GPS/phones that can support navigation.

Race Info
The Black River Grand Prix is growing! Join us on Saturday, June 20, 2026 for the Black River Grand Prix weekend, a celebration of fast racing, big
loops, varied terrain, and fun in the woods. The format is simple: mass start on one big lap (or two). Want to race 12 miles of the best the Center has to offer? Enter the Grand Prix. Think it's so nice you want to do it twice? Then the Grand Epic is for you. And if racing isn't your thing and you just want a signed ride and a good lunch, then the Grand Tour has your name on it.
Whatever your category, this ain’t XCO, this is VT mountain biking - flow, tech, jank, doubletrack, ski trail, and maybe even a dirt road or two - there’s something for everyone. There's even a bit of pavement at the start.
The 2025 Black River Grand Epic field will head off at 10:15am for the 25-mile epic race featuring nearly all the riding the Center has to offer. Two 12-mile loops of nearly all our trails in the most fun layout we can pull off. This is not sufferfest racing, this is the local's loop, routed the way the builders like to ride.
The Grand Prix will start fifteen minutes later at 10:30am for those who just want one sweet race lap.
Five minutes later at 10:35AM the Grand Tour riders go off on a mellow cruise of the same loop. The lap never loops back into the stadium, so once you’re gone, you’re gone, though the Grand Epic racers will come back through the Upper Field after their first ~12-mile lap.
First folks back win. The courses will look nearly identical to the 2024 Grand Prix course, with a few changes and reroutes to keep y'all on your toes.
Check out last year's Race Guide! for more info about how the event ran in 2023.
Pricing and Prize Purses
The Grand Prix will be $50 for open racers, $30 for U23 competitors, and $25 for juniors (ages 18 and under). The Grand Epic will be $75. The Grand Tour costs $35.
$12 of each open entry fee will go towards prize money for the open category in that respective race. $3 to the male and female winners, $2 for second place, and $1 for third place.
We will call up podiums for the top 3 overall men and women, and the top junior (U20) boy and girl. Door draw prizes will be distributed by random draw at bib pickup. Only “open” competitors are eligible for cash prizes. That means juniors and U23 athletes will not receive cash. If you think you could win money, register for the open race.
On-site Lodging
Did you know the Center has on-site lodging with meals available? Whether you want your own private cabin, a lakeside cottage, or just a room in our Cedar Lodge dorm, we can meet your needs. A room in Cedar lodge (with three meals included) starts at just $155.

MEMORIAL RUN
Sunday, June 21, 2026
The 1-mile Brady Bukowski Fun Run/Walk at 9:00 am commemorates a fun loving preschooler who lived life to the fullest. Brady excelled at everything he
attempted, from a forward roll at gymnastics, jumping into the deep end at swimming lessons or hitting a whiffle ball. Brady valiantly fought a rare brain cancer that, by April 2012, was too much for even this superhero to defeat.
The 1-mile Fun Run/Walk begins at the Lebanon green, continues on Bank St. to the old Lebanon Junior High School where it joins the Northern Rail Trail and returns to the finish at Colburn Park.
The 4-mile run at 10:00am commemorates the life of Skip Matthews, an exceptional friend, parent, and husband who was lost to cancer in October 2003.
The 4-mile run is a fast loop that begins at the Lebanon green, follows the Northern Rail Trail for two miles, then follows Riverside Drive back to the Packard Covered Bridge and on to Bank Street Ext. Finish at Colburn Park. It is a chip-timed event. USATF Race Certification #NH16007BK.
