Rose City Cycling is East Texas' largest cycling organization (formerly Tyler Bicycle Club and FRESH Racing), operating as a 501 (c)(3) Nonprofit organization dedicated to community impact and improving the overall health and wellness of our community. They are thrilled to be bringing back the iconic 36^th Annual Beauty and the Beast Bicycle Tour and Race event in 2026 - Back to the Routes.

The Beauty and the Beast Bicycle Event has been a beloved tradition for 36 years, bringing together cyclists of all levels for a day of challenging routes, stunning scenery, and community spirit with a competitive option. In 2026, we're going Back to the Routes—honoring the history and original spirit of Beauty & the Beast.

Whether you're a seasoned rider tackling the Ultimate Beast or Beast route or a casual cyclist enjoying the Beauty route, there's something for everyone. All proceeds support local cycling infrastructure and youth cycling programs in our community.

In 2026, Beauty & the Beast expands into a two-day cycling experience, offering both tour and race options for adults, juniors, and kids—making this event more inclusive, impactful, and dynamic than ever before.

This year, events will take place in both Tyler and Whitehouse, intentionally pouring revenue, resources, and energy back into both communities we’re proud to serve.

Timing, Awards, Prizes: Tour and Race (Saturday Night Awards)

65 Mile Ultimate Beast - Overall top 3 female/male cash awards $100/$75/$50, Top 5 in age group awards.

45 Mile The Beast - Top 5 in age group awards.

25 Mile The Beauty - Top 5 in age group awards.

Time Trial:

Overall top 3 adult female/male cash awards $100/$75/$50, Top 5 in age group podium.

Overall top 3 junior male/female cash awards $25/$15/$10. Top 5 in age group podium.

Kids 10-12 overall top 5 female/male podium.

Kids under 9 and under. Top 5 female/male podium.

Kids Cup: Top 5 female/male podium, popsicles for all!
