This is a winter and spring program for athletes ages 8-19 preparing for a summer draft-legal triathlon season. Weekly sessions will be focused on bike skills and tactics for draft legal racing. Athletes will be encouraged to swim and run with their school and club teams.

ALL Athletes interested in the program must attend our free combine on January 25 so their skills can be assessed and they can be placed in the correct group.

Skills Combine: January 25
- Mandatory to be placed in a group
Winter Session: Meets February 1, 8, 15, and March 1, 8, and 15

Requirements

--MUST be a member of USA Triathlon. Please join our club, “Paragon Training,” when you sign up for your USAT membership online

--Must have a bicycle and helmet

Practice Times

All practices are on Sunday

High Performance (Meets on 1st and 15th)

8:00-9:15 AM > Run

10:00-11:15 AM > Trainer ride

11:30 AM - 12:00 PM > Core

1:00-2:30 PM > Bike Skills

Team Blue

1:00-2:30 PM

Team Orange

2:45-4:00 PM

*Athletes who are part of the High Performance Program must be working with a Paragon coach on TrainingPeaks

RACE DISTANCES/DESCRIPTION:

SUPER SPRINT:

400 meter swim: Your race starts with a gorgeous dip in the lazy river as you navigate the scenic swim loop sans the jets.

10 MILE BIKE: You will carefully exit the swim and head over to Transition 1 to hop on your bike for a fun 2-loop 10 mile ride on the ultra smooth TPC Parkway with only one hill right before transition 2 for the run.

2 MILE RUN: Next up, end your race with a tranquil run through the lush grounds of the JW resort & TPC San Antonio to a fabulous finish complete with delicious post race resort culinary treats including fresh, cooled mimosas!

SPRINT:

800 meter swim: Your race starts with two laps the lazy river sans the jets.

15 MILE BIKE: You will exit the swim and head over to Transition for your bike and head out on a 15 mile ride.

3.1 MILE RUN: You finish your race with a 4 mile run through the lush grounds of the resort to a fabulous finish on their grand lawn, surrounded by beautiful views, lush lanscape and peacefull waterfalls.
