    Rock The Doc honors the legacy of Dr. Robert J. Dennington, Little Elm’s highly regarded first Orthodontist, esteemed community leader and longtime resident. Dr. Dennington, affectionately known as “Doc,” was deeply committed to serving Little Elm before his passing from complications of lymphoma in 2008. This race celebrates our beloved local leader’s life, service and the lasting impact he made in the community.

    Rock the Doc is all about bringing our community together for a great cause, while continuing to build the energy and culture that makes NTX RR so special! Whether you're walking, running, cheering or just enjoying the lively atmosphere, it's a great way to start your Saturday surrounded by family, friends and runners/walkers of all ages!     USA Triathlon Sanctioned Race

    SPRINT TRIATHLON

    500 meter swim, 16 mile bike, 5K run.

    Swim - lake, water temperature may vary. View Wetsuit USA Triathlon Rules here. The temperature of the water will be determined on race morning and results will be announced.

    Swimmers will line up in corrals reflecting their predicted swim time. Example: if your predicted swim time is 23 minutes; you will line up in a starting corral 20-25 minutes.

    Bike - 2 loops,

    Run - road and paved trails system of Little Elm

    OLYMPIC TRIATHLON

    1500 meter swim, 24 mile bike, 10K run.

    Swim - lake, water temperature may vary. View Wetsuit USA Triathlon Rules here. The temperature of the water will be determined on race morning and results will be announced.

    🎆 Ready to Start Your 4th with a Bang? 🏃‍♂️💨

    Forget the snooze button—this Independence Day, we’re trading the pillow for the pavement! Kick off your holiday with high energy, heavy breathing, and a whole lot of red, white, and blue at the Firecracker 5K.

    Whether you’re a seasoned sprinter looking for a personal best or a casual jogger just here for the post-race hot dogs, we want YOU on the starting line.

    🕒 The Details:

    When: July 4th, 2026

    Where: Lakefront Trail, Little Elm, TX

    Attire: The more patriotic, the better. Think sequins, stripes, and stars!

    🏆 Why Run?

    Towers Tap House will host the party! Brunch Pass Included - All American hot dog and beer or mimosa for those over 21 years of age (must be 21 bring I.D.)

    Earn your beer and hot dog! Burn those calories before the first burger even hits the grill.

    The Swag: Exclusive Firecracker finisher medals and tees for all participants.

    Bragging Rights: Be the person who accomplished something epic before noon.

    Canine Costume Contest

    Winners will be announced before the start of the race. Dress up your pup and come on for a walk! The best dressed up pups will be awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd place! (Fun prizes for winners)

    Virtual Race

    No packet pickup for virtual participant. Virtual runners will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal via mail during the week after the race.

    Course Notes

    The use of personal music devices during the race is strongly discouraged. To enjoy all that participating in a race has to offer and for the safety of all participants, race management encourages a headphone-free environment during the event.

    Safety has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority. Please be mindful of the other participants and respect the race personnel to ensure a safe and enjoyable race for everyone.

    Per USATF safety rules and insurance, no pets are allowed on the 5K. Strollers are allowed to be safely integrated into the event.

    Pets are welcome in the 1M fun event.

    The minimum age to participate in the 5K is 6 and no minimum age for the 1 mile.

    Race Day Management reserves the right to change any event course at any time due to safety, weather conditions, or other production concerns.

    Timing

    The 5K is a chip timed event. Each participant will be required to wear a timing chip in order to be counted in the results. We will be using disposable timing tags for this event that you will receive with your bib at packet pickup.

    The 1M fun run will not be timed.

    Please wear your bib visibly on the FRONT for timing purposes and your FINISHER PHOTO to be CAPTURED!

    DESCRIPTION

    Join us at Lobo Stadium for our Annual 633 Run through the trail system of Little Elm honoring fallen Little Elm Police officer Jerry R. Walker. Little Elm ISD has named a middle school after officer Walker. This event will ensure that his legacy of service is remembered through a student scholarship fund for public service generated with the proceeds from this run. We will host a 1-mile Fun Run, 5K, and a special 6.33 mile distance in honor of Officer Walker's badge number, 633.

    The One Ale of a Trail Run brings runners to the scenic Lakefront Trail in Little Elm, Texas for a morning of dirt miles, lake views, and a great post-run atmosphere. Whether you're chasing a strong effort or just enjoying the rhythm of the trail, this event is designed for runners who love a good course and an even better finish line.

    Choose between 3 miles, 5 miles, or 9 miles of runnable trail winding through one of North Texas’ most beautiful lakefront parks. The course is approachable, fast enough to push the pace, and fun enough to take it all in.

    When you cross the finish line, the day is just getting started. Grab a cold beer, pull up a lawn chair, hang out with friends, and enjoy music and the laid-back trail community vibe that makes this event special.

    Whether you're a seasoned trail runner, a road runner trying dirt for the first time, or just someone who enjoys a great run followed by a great time, One Ale Off-Trail is the perfect way to spend a fall morning.
