    Join us Wednesday April 1,2026 at Pavillion 2 in Keller's Bear Creek Park for the 9th annual edition of the Bear Creek Running Co. 2.62 mile April Fools Marathon. Enjoy an out and back run/walk along the Bear Creek Greenbelt each $22 registration includes post race celebration with food, beverages and snacks First 120 registrants get a luxurious limited edition 2.62 marathon-shirt. Shirts are first come starting Sunday 12-5PM March 29th, Monday 30th 10-6, Tuesday March 31 10-6 and Wednesday April 1 10-4 during packet pick up at the store. It is a marathon for all! No training needed, taper for the fun of it. Hosted in Bear Creek Park , 400 Bear Creek Park Rd, Keller, TX, by Bear Creek Running Company. 100% of all proceeds will go to our GOOD Running fund to support local running and recreation areas. RACE REGISTRATION IS LIMITED TO 140 PARTICIPANTS.

    Come join us and support our Military in our 18th Annual WW Military Miles 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon in Keller Texas. It starts and finishes in front of Keller City Hall Building. The event benefits two charities: Fisher House Foundation and WWP. The “Happenings” begin at 6:45am with the Half Marathon corral followed by the 10K and then the 5K. Half Marathon need to be lined up by 6:30am, 10K by 6:45am, and 5K 7:00am. The different starting times allow us to keep you safe and spread out during the race. All runners will be timed and there will be awards in each age group.

    Each participant will receive a Commemorative t-shirt, world famous DAR race socks, and FINISHERS MEDAL.

    START TIMES:

    6:45am Half Marathon

    7:00am 10K

    7:15am 5K

    Race Day Packet Pick Up Schedule:

    5:30-6:30am- Half Marathon

    5:30-6:45am- 10K

    5:30am-7:00am- 5K

    Dallas Athletes has a no refund or transfer policy as shown on the website.

    AWARDS - Overall and Age Group awards will be set out and ready for pick up on race day. You can pick up your award once the timer updates and finalizes 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon results. You do not have to wait for an award ceremony.

    HOTEL: Stay at the Hampton Inn hotel and walk to the race site on race morning. Great rate!

    VIRTUAL OPTION:

    Can't make the event then join us virtually. Do the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon at your own pace and time. Post your results on our WW Military Miles website and pictures on the Facebook page. Each virtual runner will receive a race shirt, finisher's medal, socks, and race bib. Packages will be sent out right after June 13th. (We shipped to addresses in the continental US)

    In the event of inclement weather, the start time of this event may be delayed by up to 1 hour. Past this time, the even course may be shortened or altered to protect the participants.

    If conditions turn unsafe, the event may be cancelled. Event changes and cancellations are at the discretion of the Race Director.

    We always strive to produce a full and safe sporting event, but sometimes the weather conditions can affect those plans.

    Considerable amount goes into planning a sporting event and we do so with the best intentions. Unfortunately, no one can control the weather and race directors are not the exceptions.

    Our goal is to always produce a full event as scheduled and only modify these plans due to safety concerns some of which can be caused by weather conditions.

    DESCRIPTION:

    Start Thanksgiving off on the right turkey leg and join us for the 6th Annual Run With The Turkeys Trot 5K & 10K walk/run starting at 8:00am for the 10k and 8:15am for the 5k! Before you eat your big meal get a little exercise with a few of you closest friends and neighbors. This is an event the whole family can enjoy and help others in the community. Make the run or walk a Family Tradition. Bring the strollers and of course friendly dogs on a leash are WELCOME!

    VIRTUAL OPTION:

    Can't make the event then join us virtually. Do the 5K, 10K at your own pace and time. After you complete your distance go to the website and click on the "Results" option in the menu bar. Submit virtual results. Also post pictures on the DAR Facebook LIVE page. Each virtual runner will receive a long sleeve race shirt, Finishers medal, and race bib. YOU MUST PICK UP YOUR PACKET AT ONE OF THE SCHEDULED PACKET PICK UPS. WE WILL NOT MAIL PACKETS

    BENEFICIARY: COMMUNITY STOREHOUSE

    DAR have teamed up with Community Storehouse to help benefit the kids in the Keller ISD and Northwest ISD by bringing non-perishable food items. Food insecurity affects 20% of the children in the Keller ISD and 25% in Northwest ISD. Please bring 2-3 non-perishable items race day.

    WHAT YOU GET ( RACE SWAG )

    Each participants will receive a Run With The Turkeys Long Sleeve shirt unisex sizes including children's sizing. All finishers will also receive an awesome commemorative finishers medal.

    AWARDS

    The awards will be THREE DEEP per age group with individual awards for overall male, overall female, overall masters female & male and overall grand masters female and male.

    The break down of age group awards are as follows:

    14 & under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80 & over

    Masters:

    Male – 40-59

    Female – 40-54

    Grand Masters:

    Male – 60 and over

    Female – 55 and over

    Overall Finisher Awards and Age Group Awards are based on gun time for running events and chip time for triathlon events.

    RACE DAY SCHEDULE

    Be sure to register online then head to the race site for your packet if you have not already picked up your packet. Maximum 5 packets per person for pick up.

    6:00am-7:30am Packet pick up (make sure you are registered online first)

    7:30am - Packet pick up closes.

    8:00am - 10k start!

    8:01am - Post race party with fresh, piping hot pancakes on the griddle!

    8:10am Timed 5K Starts

    8:15am Untimed 5K Starts

    9:30am - 5k awards!

    9:45am - 10k awards!

    10:00am - head home for a nap, make room for Thanksgiving Dinner!
