  9:00 AM - Gate opens to runners

  9:00 AM - Noon - Check-in, packet pickup

  Noon - Gate closes for race - reopens after last runner is off the course

  1:00 PM - Race starts

  2:30 PM - Awards ceremony

  4:00 PM - BBQ Dinner

  7:00 PM - Dance

  OVERALL CATEGORIES

  Male and female: Overall, Masters (40+), Grand Masters (50+), Senior Grand Masters (60+)

  AGE GROUP CATEGORIES

  Female: 29 and under, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and over

  Male: 29 and under, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-89, 90 and over

  AWARDS

  The race will be chip-timed. All awards will be based on the "gun time". Awards will be presented to the overall male and female, male and female masters (40+), male and female grand masters (50+), male and female senior grand masters (60+) and the top three male and female finishers in each age group. The above awards will not be duplicated (overall winners will not also receive age group awards).

  Decatur Celtic Festival is hosting its first annual 5k! Come experience all that the Celtic Festival has to offer and test your endurance.

  The chip-timed race starts and ends at the Reunion Grounds...

  Decatur Celtic Festival is hosting its first annual 5k! Come experience all that the Celtic Festival has to offer and test your endurance.

  The chip-timed race starts and ends at the Reunion Grounds and continues along the creek road. Support will be provided along the way with a mid-way aid station, and refreshments will be provided at the finish. Awards will be given to the top three age group finishers as well as first male and female. We welcome all age walkers and runners, strollers, and leashed dogs.

  RUN! WALK! FLY!

  Put on your capes!

  Lace up your running shoes!

  Bring the FAMILY! Perfect for all ages and fitness levels!

  Join us for the first CASA of Wise and Jack counties Superhero 5k at the corner of Main and State streets in downtown Decatur, Tx. Help CASA of Wise and Jack counties increase awareness of child abuse and neglect and the need for children experiencing foster care to have a voice. Our volunteer advocates provide a voice for a child that has been taken from all that they know and is navigating the foster care system. Funds raised from this event will help us recruit and train new advocates to support these children. All proceeds will directly benefit CASA of Wise and Jack counties and our most vulnerable citizens.

  Race t-shirts guaranteed to racers registered by September 23, 2026.

  Registration Fees (thru Oct 3) :

  5K - $30.00

  Children under 12 – FREE (additional cost for shirt and/or time, if desired, for children running free.)
