Join us the morning of February 28 for the 4th Annual Joey Run 5K, 10K, and 1 Mile Fun Run at Harlinsdale Farm in Franklin, Tennessee, held in honor of Jenny Fann’s brother, Joey Gootee.
What started as one family’s heartbreak has become a community wide day of hope. After hearing story after story of how addiction has impacted families right here in Middle Tennessee, Jenny knew she could not stay quiet. The Joey Run exists to shine a light on the reality of addiction, to remind people they are not alone, and to help create a path forward. A path with support, prayer, and people willing to walk beside you.
Whether you are running for a loved one, walking for your own story, or showing up because you believe recovery is worth fighting for, you belong here. This is more than a race. It is a gathering of neighbors choosing compassion and action.
Your participation helps fund scholarship support that goes directly to accredited recovery centers, so individuals who are ready for treatment are not turned away simply because they cannot afford it. The Joey Run is a ministry department of ACT International (ACTInternational.org), a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
Mark your calendar, invite your family, friends, and coworkers, and come be part of something that matters. Sign up today. We cannot wait to see you at the start line.

Lace up those running shoes and dust off your boogie shoes for the 2nd annual Live Like Jack 5K and 1Mile Kids run followed by a post race dance party and arm wrestling competition.
Why are we doing this?
Our son, Jack was born with a birth defect called bilateral clubfoot which, if left untreated, can impair a child's ability to run, jump and play. Jack also has arthrogryposis and limb differences, which effect his upper extremities and joints.
Through our journey we realized that treatment for these conditions can be costly so we are raising funds to assist families with the cost of care associated with treatments, travel, therapies and adaptive equipment.
All funds raised through the Live Like Jack 5k will benefit awareness, research, treatment and management of clubfoot and other musculoskeletal conditions and limb differences. We also donate and support adaptive athletes and those with limb differences and musculoskeletal conditions in activities of sport and fitness.
Last year our proceeds went to Miracle Flights and Children's flight of hope to fly clubfoot and limb different children to treatment and surgeries. We also donated to Able Youth a non profit helping child wheelchair users navigate sports and daily living as well as Hope Walks a charity that treats clubfoot kids in low-income countries. This year we will be donating to Achilles International and other charities that align with our values.
We aim to support EVERYONE--including those with disabilities, impairments and differences-- in their journey to run, jump, play and ultimately LIVE like Jack.
We were told when Jack was a baby that he would "never be normal" and we say.... maybe "normal" isn't all it's cracked up to be.
IN A WORLD OF NORMAL, EMBRACE YOUR DIFFERENCES!
SWAG: All participants receive a top quality tee and fun finisher medal!
Walkers, children and pets welcome and encouraged!! Or make a donation and come hang out with us :)
*Chip timing by A matter of timing.
POST RACE PIZZA AND DANCE PARTY! along with snow cones, arm wrestling and other fun events for kids... and adults!
