Join us for the Moonpie Move, a fun and festive race series celebrating every runner with a Moonpie twist! Whether you're racing for a PR or just out to enjoy a sweet time, we've got a distance for you: 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon. Perfect for families, seasoned runners, and anyone with a sweet tooth, this race combines fitness with a delicious theme!

Race Distances & Themes:

• 5K – "Mini Moonpie Dash":

A short and sweet race perfect for beginners or those looking to have fun. This event is all about enjoying the run, hitting the finish line, and indulging in a Moonpie at the end. It’s the perfect way to start your day with a boost of energy and sweetness!

• 10K – "Double the Moonpie Fun":

For those looking for a little more challenge, the 10K race offers the perfect balance of speed and stamina. Whether you're running to break your best time or just enjoying the journey, there will be plenty of Moonpies along the way to fuel your energy!

• Half Marathon – "Moonpie Marathoner":

The ultimate race for the dedicated runner! This half marathon offers a scenic route with plenty of fun surprises, Moonpie checkpoints, and of course, a finish line celebration featuring everyone's favorite marshmallow treat. Whether you’re a seasoned racer or a first-time half marathoner, this event promises to be a sweet achievement you won’t forget.

The Whiskey Run Augusta is the perfect race for seasoned runners or amateur enthusiasts looking for a run that doesn’t skimp on the fun. Expect great 5K, 10K, and Half Marathon routes followed by local food pairings, whiskey samples, and music. In its second year, the run includes venues all across the southeast, with races scheduled in Atlanta, Nashville, Huntsville, and Knoxville.

The run is produced by Run Rhino. A Chattanooga-based company known for putting on unique races and events, including 7 Bridges Marathon, Scenic City Mud Run, the Caffeine Run, the World Run, and the Southeastern Santa Hustle Race Series.

On June 3, We Run Together

Global Running Day is our holiday; a celebration of the activity we love and the sport that brings our community together. We’re inviting all runners and walkers to join us on June 3 to mark the occasion, set a goal and cross the finish line.

This year’s event will include an in-person race and virtual features that provide all participants with flexible raceday options. This means you have two ways to celebrate with us:

• Join us for an in-person 5K race on June 4th at 6pm at SRP Park

• Run your own 5K course from any location

Either way, you’ll have the ability to upload and view your results after your run!

The RECing Crew Special Leisure and Recreation Association was established in 2002 by the families and friends of those with disabilities to offer leisure and recreational opportunities for individuals with disabilities from the CSRA. These programs enhance the physical, emotional, and social growth of those that participate. Currently, there are 200+ individuals, ranging in the ages from 6-88, that participate in one or more of their programs.

Race Swag

All 5K and 1-Mile Kids Run participants will receive a finisher medal, fun bib number, race t-shirt, and General Admission ticket for that evening's Augusta GreenJackets game with a FREE cold beverage of choice! Learn more about the Augusta GreenJackets 2026 schedule here.

5K/10K/Fun Run benefiting Project Refresh Inc. to help support our mobile shower service. Our mission is to provide hope one shower at a time to individuals without access to a clean refreshing shower in the CSRA. Our race will feature soaking stations along the way with water blasters to help beat the summer heat and remind everyone what it means to feel "refreshed". The race will begin at the Hammonds Ferry Soccer Complex and proceed down the scenic North Augusta Greeneway. We will end back at the soccer complex where we will host our awards ceremony and have food options available for purchase to celebrate your success!

Race Packet Pick up will be June 19th in the evening. Time and location to be confirmed.
