    Ready, Set, Fly! 🏃‍♂️🦉

    We’re thrilled to announce the 1st Annual Okatie - Fly By 5K, soaring into action this February 7th 2026!

    This community race is all about fun, fitness, and family. Whether you’re a competitive runner chasing a PR or lacing up for your very first 5K, everyone’s invited to join the flock!

    Our mission is to offer an affordable, feel-good event that brings together students, families, and neighbors—building community through healthy choices and a whole lot of fun.

    📍 Start & Finish: Okatie Elementary School, 53 Cherry Point Road, Bluffton, SC

    Come join us for a morning full of energy, smiles, and school spirit—let’s make the Okatie Fly By 5K a Bluffton tradition that takes off year after year!

    Race shirts included to all pre-registered participants before January 22nd.

    8:00 AM – Packet Pick Up and Check In

    9:00AM - Kiddie Fun Run (0.3 miles) No Registration Required but encouraged. ONLY for Ages 6 & under

    9:15AM Fly - By 5K – REGISTRATION REQUIRED

    Age group medal ceremony following end of the race.

    1st place Overall Male and Female.

    Top 3 Male and Female in each age group.

    Age groups: 6 and under, 7-9, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ and we will award first overall male and female & first overall Okatie Elementary Male and Female. (Plus a stroller division).

    Early Packet Pick up

    Friday February 6th, from 3:15PM-5:15PM we will have early Race Packet Pick Up at Okatie Elementary in front of the school. Please be mindful school dismissal is at 2:45PM and you will need to park in the parking lot and walk across the front crosswalk to pick up race packets. Registered participants may pick up their bibs and t-shirts during this time or pick up between 8-9 on Saturday morning. There is no RACE DAY REGISTRATION.

    Join us for the 15th Annual Beaufort Twilight Run, The Lowcountry's biggest running festival, hosted by and benefitting Riverview Charter School!

    This USATF sanctioned running festival is for all ages and offers four competitive, chip-timed courses - 10 Mile Run, 8K Run, 5K Run, 1 Mile Youth Run - in addition to the 5K Fun Walk and a 1/4 mile Kid’s Fun Run. Participants can compete for the 13.1 Challenge title by running in both the 5K and 10 Mile events. There is a $6,000+ prize purse with great age group awards in the 10 Mile, 8K, 5K Run and 13.1 Challenge. After the races, stay and enjoy the party with gourmet Food Trucks and Live Music.

    Be sure to register early for the best pricing and to guarantee your awesome BTR t-shirt. T-shirts are ONLY guaranteed through March 1st, 2025. After the deadline, we will have t-shirts available for purchase on race day on a first-come, first-served basis.

    ** PLEASE NOTE: If participating in the 10 Mile and/or Beaufort Challenge, in order to start the second loop of the race course, the FIRST LOOP must be completed within 1 hour.     🐰 2026 Easter Bunny Hop 5K Run/Walk & Kid’s Bunny Chase

    Join SGGCS for a new Easter tradition at Washington Square. The 2026 Easter 5K & Bunny Chase invites runners, walkers, families, and children of all ages to celebrate. Race professionally managed in partnership by Palmetto Running Company.

    Participants can choose the Easter Bunny Hop 5K Run/Walk and Kid’s Bunny Chase.

    Proceeds benefit K3–6th grade students at Saint Gregory the Great Catholic School, supporting academic excellence, faith formation, and student enrichment.

    Whether you’re racing for a personal best, walking with friends, or cheering on your little bunnies, this event is a wonderful way to enjoy Easter celebration. Lace up your shoes, grab your bunny ears, and hop into Easter with us!

    The 70th Annual Beaufort Water Festival welcomes you to the festival’s fourth event of the year, the 5k/10k on Saturday, May 2nd 2026. The 5K/10K race will start at 8:00 AM in the beautiful town of Port Royal at the Live Oaks Park. This wonderful flat course takes you along the moss-draped giant live oaks with beautiful views of the Intracoastal Waterway. The course is USATF Certified #SC18011DW

    The 5k is a run or walk for $25.00 and the 10k is a run only for $30.00. Walk-up registration will be available the day of the race for $25.00 for the 5K and $30.00 for the 10K. Participants pre-registered by April 22, 2026 will receive a 70th Annual Beaufort Water Festival 5K/10K t-shirt. Registration after April 22, 2026 and walk-up registration does not include a t-shirt. There may be some t-shirts for sale the day of but this cannot be guaranteed.

    Timing is provided by Grounded Running. Awarded categories include: overall male, overall female, and the top 3 in each age division.

    Pre-registered packet pick-up will take place at Grounded Running, located at 2139 Boundary Street, Suite 108 on Friday, May 1st, 2026 from 12-5:00 PM and at Live Oaks Park in Port Royal on Saturday morning from 7:00-7:40 AM. Walk-up race day registration will take place on Saturday morning from 7:00-7:40 AM to ensure an on-time start at 8:00 AM.

    The Floppin’ Flounder 5K Run/Walk is one of Charleston’s favorite local 5Ks.

    Presented by the Charleston Running Club (CRC) with help from the Sullivan’s Island Fire & Rescue Department, this event has had a loyal following for over 25 years.

    We offer a 5K Run and a walk option, and all participants receive a race shirt and finishers medal.

    Proceeds from Floppin’ Flounder benefit the Sullivan’s Island Fire & Rescue Dept., CRC, and other local charities.

    Age group and award breakdown

    • Top 3 overall male and female

    • First Master (40 years and older) male and female

    • First Grandmaster (50 years and older) male and female

    • First Great Grandmaster (60 years and older) male and female

    • Top 3 in the following age groups (Ages 10 and under, 11-14,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85 and over. )

    In addition, we present the Peyton Moore award to the fastest boy and girl under age 12. This award is in memory of one of CRC’s youngest and most enthusiastic members, Peyton Moore, who passed away on June 4, 2013. Learn more about Peyton.

    This event takes place rain or shine. It will be hot, so please hydrate and wear sunscreen!

    All events include T-shirts. T-shirt size is guaranteed during Early Bird sign up only. After this date shirts are given out on a first come, first serve basis at packet pick up until supplies are gone.

    The 5K course is flat and quick, and offers a pleasant trip through the scenic neighborhoods of Cat Island, Beaufort. Marshals will guide you to the registration and parking areas near the tennis courts. It’s about 2.8 miles from the turn off of Lady’s Island Drive to the event site. Keep going until you see our marshals and event signs! Click below on the course map icon for a printable version of the map itself.

    Race4Love is a rain or shine event, in the case that severe weather necessitates that Hopeful Horizons cancel the event, your registration fee will be converted to a tax-deductible donation to Hopeful Horizons.

    Just a 30-minute ferry ride off Hilton Head Island, SC lies Daufuskie Island. Haig Point, a private residential community on Daufuskie, hosts this ultimate event consisting of a half marathon or full marathon. This event is produced and owned by Run 4 a Reason LLC/ Rough Runners R4R INC.

    Runners will experience the all-inclusive running event, as soon as they step onto the island. The runners will be greeted with a morning cup of coffee, cinnamon rolls, and hyped entertainment to get you ready to run. Race through Haig Point, to Freeport, onto Church Rd, and then back into Haig Point along the beach. After your race, a catered picnic lunch and an assortment of beverages await you…including a cool beer provided you’re of legal drinking age. Additionally, each runner will receive high end swag and a finishing medal to commemorate your accomplishment. Take your medal to Jacy, a local artist, and she will engrave your finishing time while enjoying the after party. Chow down and listen to live entertainment with family and friends while you recover and enjoy your accomplishment.

    The race kicks off at 8:00 AM, winding through the picturesque streets of Port Royal, where participants will enjoy beautiful views of local landmarks, peaceful marshes, and the natural Lowcountry scenery that makes this area so special.
