WHY WE RUN!
Susan McDaniel, an avid athlete, actress, and equestrian, was a student at Lovelane throughout her two-year battle with cancer. Susan showed us how to defiantly live life. When surgery
took the coordination in her right hand, she learned to write with her left. When treatments left her too exhausted to ride, she took joy in stable chores and teaching other students. Susan’s family spearheaded the Run in her memory to ensure all families have access to Lovelane’s unique and effective therapy.
All proceeds from the Run support Lovelane’s Tuition Assistance Program, so that all children in need can receive the highly beneficial therapy at Lovelane regardless of their family’s financial situation. Support for tuition assistance is critical for our families now more than ever.
RUN DETAILS
Run or walk to benefit the children at Lovelane Special Needs Horseback Riding Program at the Susan McDaniel Run for Lovelane. This year’s run is on Sunday, June 7th! Join elite and novice runners, families, walkers, and children as they run or walk to support Lovelane Special Needs Horseback Riding Program at Weston Town Hall in Weston, MA. This family friendly event has live music, a food truck, a clown, prizes and more!
This is a USATF certified race.

Latham Centers' Donkey Dash
Get ready for Latham Centers’ 3rd Annual DONKEY DASH to be held on Sunday, June 7th.
This 5K race is a FAMILY-FRIENDLY event that will start and finish at Hog Island
Brewery in Orleans.
Funds raised at this event directly impact our students and adult residents through contributions to our variety of programs which promote confidence, self-worth, and agency in the student and adult residents we serve here at Latham.
The Donkey Dash will also help fund Latham’s meaningful and hands-on educational curriculum and enrichment opportunities like the latest performance of The Jungle Book, the annual Spirit Week, or a trip to the Chatham Shark Center. We hope this event raises awareness about Prader-Willi syndrome and Latham Centers’ role in providing the gold standard care and education for our residents here on Cape Cod.

SAVE THE DATE!
The 25th Annual Worcester Firefighters’ 6k is set for Sunday, June 7th, 2026.
After the Worcester Cold Storage Fire on Dec 3, 1999, this road race was created as a living memorial to
those men known as the “Worcester Six” – Paul Brotherton, Jerry Lucey, Tim Jackson, Tom Spencer, Jay Lyons and Joe McGuirk.
Sadly, the Worcester Fire Department has had three other members die in the Line of Duty since 1999. Jon Davies in 2011, Chris Roy in 2018 and Jason Menard in 2019. This race continues on to remember their memories and dedication to the City of Worcester.
The Worcester Firefighter’s 6k Road Race is more than just a road race – it’s a block party atmosphere with a BBQ inside Institute Park. Prior to the 6k and 3K walk, there is a Kids 1k for children under the age of 12. The Worcester Firefighters’ 6k is a family friendly event to kick off the summer season.
Please join us on June 7th, 2026 for another great run!

Cedar Lake Triathlon Summer 2026 Season - Race #2
This is the second of our 6 race summer series held every other Thursday night at Cedar Lake for local, grassroots racing at its best.
For 2026, we
will offer two races:
Individual and Relay Sprint Triathlon: Our individual and relay sprint triathlons consists of a 500(ish) yard lake swim, a 10 mile bike, and a 5k road run. They are perfect races for first timers who want to see what they can achieve, experienced triathletes looking to fine tune for a longer fall race, or anyone who just wants an active, family summer Thursday evening. We have awards for both the fast and the first (timers), and lots for those in between. Relay teams are welcome and celebrated. Wetsuits are encouraged when the water temperature is below 80 degrees, and strongly encouraged for at least the first two races. Aqua jogging is not permitted.
Super Sprint Triathlon: Returning for its second season is our popular super sprint race: all of the triathlon experience just in a smaller package! The super sprint consists of a 200(ish) yard swim, a 5mile bike, and a 1.7 mile run. First timers love this race: you can start your Thursday as a regular human, finish it as a Triathlete, and let us share the joy of your success with special prizes (and a whole lot of positive energy!!). Younger races are welcome, but you have to be 13 to toe the line. And we love families. If your child is racing, you can race with them for free as long as you accompany them for the entire race. Swim, bike and run with your child; it's a priceless family experience.
Gun Times:
Super Sprint: 6:10 p.m
Individual / Relay Sprint: 6:15 p.m.
Preregistration: Racers must preregister. Register early to secure both a spot and a lower entry fee, which will increase on race day. Last season, the races sold out several times and once we hit our cap, we can't accept any more entries.
Online registration will close at 5:00 p.m. on each race day. There will be no onsite registration this year.
Race day check in starts at 5:00 p.m. and all registered racers must be checked in by 5:45 p.m.
First Time? Come on down to Cedar Lake!! We love first timers and a significant part of our weekly field of racers are athletes getting their feet wet for the first time. In transition, you will see every type of bike racked and ready to race: from expensive carbon TT bikes headed for an Ironman to hybrid bikes and even the occasional beach cruiser. Not sure you can do a triathlon? Finding out is half the fun. Over 95% of our racers finish each week. We don't use cutoff times, except for later in the season as the sun starts to set earlier (typically the last race or two). Not sure exactly how it works? We have lots of friendly experienced volunteers and even a certified tri coach on site on race days to explain the mysteries of buoy turns, transition and equipment. Before you race, be sure that you can swim 20 pool lengths without stopping for the full sprint, or 10 pool lengths for the super sprint. Aqua jogging is not permitted.
Come join us this summer!
Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather on race day, the race organizers reserve the right to change the race to a duathlon, a 5K or cancel the race.

New England Runner magazine named this race as their Race of the Year for 2018.
Route: The race will start at the Hollis-Brookline Middle School north entrance road. The course will continue across Main Street (NH 122) into Monument Square, before descending south on Depot Road for 3 miles before ending at Morin's Landscaping parking lot. [Garmin]

TRI IT YOUR WAY (VIRTUAL CATEGORY)
Can't make it in person? No Problem!
Here's how Tri It Your Way works:
Pick your triathlon activities! Remember, you can either swim the 400 yards or choose another activity to do for 10 minutes. The bike needs to be at least 10 miles and the run needs to be at least a 5K (yes, you may go over, but not under!).
SAFETY FIRST! Make sure you are taking all the safety precautions when swimming, biking, and running. This means not swimming alone and following all the rules of the road (or trail). Just like all the precautions you take when training or racing an event, we want you to be safe.
Record each activity with your watch, or phone, or bike computer.
Document your tri! Whether it’s someone taking pictures of you “racing” or stopping for a selfie mid-run. We want to see you in action! Dogs, kids, partners, friends (socially distanced, of course) are encouraged to join in with you!
Go to our event page and post your “race” data and your pictures. OR email your pics and race data to [email protected].
USAT SANCTIONED
Results will count toward national and regional rankings. All USAT rules and regulations will apply. Racers are subject to time penalties or disqualification for infractions of USAT rules.
You are required to have either an annual or 1-day (Bronze) USA Triathlon membership in order to race in any USAT-sanctioned event. Non-USAT members will be required to purchase a one-day event insurance license from USA Triathlon. Costs: $14.99/sprint, $24.99/olympic, $9 per relay team member, $10 for youth.
MASSACHUSETTS STATE CHAMPIONSHIP
This is a 2026 USA Triathlon State Championships Ranking Point Event. Residents of Massachusetts can earn points which — combined with results in other qualifying races — will be totaled by USA Triathlon at the end of 2026. Note: you must participate in at least three qualifying races to be eligible for State Champion.
