Cedar Lake Triathlon Summer 2026 Season - Race #2
This is the second of our 6 race summer series held every other Thursday night at Cedar Lake for local, grassroots racing at its best.
For 2026, we
will offer two races:
Individual and Relay Sprint Triathlon: Our individual and relay sprint triathlons consists of a 500(ish) yard lake swim, a 10 mile bike, and a 5k road run. They are perfect races for first timers who want to see what they can achieve, experienced triathletes looking to fine tune for a longer fall race, or anyone who just wants an active, family summer Thursday evening. We have awards for both the fast and the first (timers), and lots for those in between. Relay teams are welcome and celebrated. Wetsuits are encouraged when the water temperature is below 80 degrees, and strongly encouraged for at least the first two races. Aqua jogging is not permitted.
Super Sprint Triathlon: Returning for its second season is our popular super sprint race: all of the triathlon experience just in a smaller package! The super sprint consists of a 200(ish) yard swim, a 5mile bike, and a 1.7 mile run. First timers love this race: you can start your Thursday as a regular human, finish it as a Triathlete, and let us share the joy of your success with special prizes (and a whole lot of positive energy!!). Younger races are welcome, but you have to be 13 to toe the line. And we love families. If your child is racing, you can race with them for free as long as you accompany them for the entire race. Swim, bike and run with your child; it's a priceless family experience.
Gun Times:
Super Sprint: 6:10 p.m
Individual / Relay Sprint: 6:15 p.m.
Preregistration: Racers must preregister. Register early to secure both a spot and a lower entry fee, which will increase on race day. Last season, the races sold out several times and once we hit our cap, we can't accept any more entries.
Online registration will close at 5:00 p.m. on each race day. There will be no onsite registration this year.
Race day check in starts at 5:00 p.m. and all registered racers must be checked in by 5:45 p.m.
First Time? Come on down to Cedar Lake!! We love first timers and a significant part of our weekly field of racers are athletes getting their feet wet for the first time. In transition, you will see every type of bike racked and ready to race: from expensive carbon TT bikes headed for an Ironman to hybrid bikes and even the occasional beach cruiser. Not sure you can do a triathlon? Finding out is half the fun. Over 95% of our racers finish each week. We don't use cutoff times, except for later in the season as the sun starts to set earlier (typically the last race or two). Not sure exactly how it works? We have lots of friendly experienced volunteers and even a certified tri coach on site on race days to explain the mysteries of buoy turns, transition and equipment. Before you race, be sure that you can swim 20 pool lengths without stopping for the full sprint, or 10 pool lengths for the super sprint. Aqua jogging is not permitted.
Come join us this summer!
Inclement Weather: In the event of inclement weather on race day, the race organizers reserve the right to change the race to a duathlon, a 5K or cancel the race.

Our Race Store is now open!
Course:
New England's premier downhill 5K race. The course drops 224 feet from start to finish. This USATF certified 5K course begins at the Hollis-Brookline
Middle School in Hollis, New Hampshire. The gradual downhill course travels through beautiful apple orchards, corn fields and vegetable farms, finishing at the junction of Depot Rd. and Rt. 111. The course lends itself to people running a personal best time and for first time racers represents a very runner friendly course. Running Times Magazine listed this route as one of the top three fastest race courses in the USA. The Wall Street Journal posted an article about this unique race. New England Runner magazine named this race as their Race of the Year for 2018.
Route: The race will start at the Hollis-Brookline Middle School north entrance road. The course will continue across Main Street (NH 122) into Monument Square, before descending south on Depot Road for 3 miles before ending at Morin's Landscaping parking lot. [Garmin]
Start Line: Hollis-Brookline Middle School. 25 Main St, Hollis, NH. [Google Maps]
Finish Line: Morin's Landscaping Parking Lot. 301 Depot Rd, Hollis, NH. [Google Maps]
Team Competition and Individual Rewards:
There will be awards for top finishers in both male and female racers in multiple age groups. The top non-binary finisher will also receive an award. These will all be distributed immediately following the race at Alpine Grove. No awards will be mailed. Unclaimed awards can be collected at Fleet Feet Sports (4 Coliseum Ave, Nashua, NH: Google Maps) for one week (through Sunday, June 21).
There will also be a non-timed team competition. A unique trophy and bragging rights will be given to the team/group that has the most members sign up for the race. This is not an award for the fastest team, but rather the largest. To join a team, simply select your team at registration. If your team has not yet been created, select "Create New Group/Team" and make a new team name. Your team must be declared prior to race day.
If you are having trouble signing up for a team, please feel free to contact us!

A scenic bike tour through the towns of Hatfield, Deerfield, Williamsburg, Conway, Ashfield, and Shelburne.
All proceeds will go towards supporting eye
research.
The Hatfield Lions Club invites you to the 17th edition of the Hatfield Lions Club Bike Tour.
There will be three ride options (25 miles, 35 miles, and 50 miles) starting and ending at the Lions Club Pavilion (15 Billings Way, Hatfield, MA 01038).
We suggest starting between 8 AM and 9 AM.
The entry fee is $40 per rider. Riders may register in advance through BikeReg, and day of registration ($45, cash only) will also be available at the event. Pre-registered riders will receive a complementary t-shirt.
This event helps the Hatfield Lions club support eye research, our organization's traditional cause.
After the ride, we will host a pasta lunch. It goes without saying that there will be baked potatoes at a Hatfield event.
We are using our traditional routes again this year:
The 25 mile route is very flat (less than 800 feet of climbing) and goes through Whatley, Deerfield, and Hatfield. This is a great ride for families.
The 35 mile route doubles the climbing of the 25 mile route and adds Conway to the mix. Both the 25 and 35 mile routes have a rest stop in Deerfield, in the shade at the base of the Stillwater Bridge.
The 50 mile route is really 56 miles with over 3,600 feet of climbing. This is a scenic ride that travels up to the picturesque Bardwell's Ferry Bridge connecting Conway and Shelburne Falls. This will be the first rest stop of the day. From there, the adventure continues and meets up with the other routes at the Stillwater Bridge rest stop.
We hope you will join us for a fun day.

Experience the thrill of running before a pre-assembled cheering crowd as excitement builds for the annual Gaspee Days Parade. Each year, more than 2,000 runners take part in this beloved event,
racing along the Parkway’s iconic red, white, and blue road stripe. Whether you’re competing for a prize or running just for fun, your participation helps support one of the community’s most cherished traditions—all proceeds benefit the Gaspee Days Parade.
RACE DETAILS
The race starts at 9:30 AM sharp on Broad Street at Chiswick Road, Cranston, RI. The course spans 5K (3.1 miles) and was bicycle calibrated by Ray Nelson. It runs south on Broad Street into Warwick onto Narragansett Parkway then turns at General Hawkins Drive and returns north. The race finish line is just past the Parade reviewing stand at Rhodes Place. Timing and results are coordinated by Spitler Race Systems.
Due to the timing of the Parade, which immediately follows the 5K, the race has a strict cut-off time of one hour. You must be able to complete the 5K distance within this timeframe.
The race is capped at 2,000 people: sign up early.
There will be no RACE DAY registrations. All sign-ups must be completed by Friday night. Bandits will not be tolerated.

The 5K immediately precedes the Gaspee Days Parade, which follows the race into Pawtuxet Village. Runners and their families are encouraged to stay in the area to enjoy a fun-filled morning and afternoon. Visit Gaspee.com/events to see a calendar of events for the day.

Experience Newport like never before at the Newport Sprint Triathlon presented by Trident Waterproofing and Masonry. Set against the backdrop of Newport’s unmatched early-summer energy and iconic
coastal scenery, this event delivers fast racing, ocean views, and a truly memorable way to kick off the season. Whether it’s your first triathlon or you’re a seasoned competitor, this race is designed to be welcoming, exciting, and true to the spirit of coastal New England.
Athletes will take on a classic sprint-distance course that showcases some of the most scenic and historic terrain in coastal Rhode Island. The race begins with a 1/3 mile protected swim inside the calm Fort Adams cove beside the SSV Oliver Hazard Perry. From there, athletes head out on an 11.6 mile bike ride along the world-famous Ocean Drive, featuring rolling terrain, nonstop ocean vistas, and classic Newport landmarks. The race wraps up with a 3 mile run through Fort Adams State Park, including stretches inside the historic fort itself and along its beautiful waterfront grounds.
Come race, explore, and enjoy a classic Newport morning at one of New England’s most unique sprint triathlons.
USAT Sanctioned Event:
This race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon (USAT). All participants are required to be current USAT members or purchase a one-day USAT membership during registration. All registrants must also complete and sign the USAT waiver prior to competing. No athlete will be permitted to race without a valid USAT membership and signed waiver.
