LOCATION Start/Finish at Trails End at Camelback ResortParking here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/rzp3LDx3Y7GLLymp9 ABOUT The Running Kind presents another epic mountain challenge for any level of runner or hiker - The Basilisk! The Basilisk is known among legends as the serpent king [ or queen ] and is truly a creature of immense power. This race is designed to test runners and hikers to find their power, step by step, while climbing up a double-black diamond slope at one of Pennsylvania’s most popular ski resorts, Camelback. You won’t find it surprising that this is one of two double black diamond ski slopes at the resort and the name of the one we’ve selected to run our course on is The Basilisk. Runners and hikers can select from a multitude of distances and styles of racing, all of which will take place over a 2.5 mile loop covering just under 900ft of elevation gain and descent. You can take on the Baby Basilisk which will be a single loop or you can opt in for more! There will be options
for a 5 mile [ 2 loops ] or a 10 mile [ 4 loops ]. The 10 mile will also have the option of being run in teams of two. The strategy is up to you. The only rule is that only one runner can be on the course at a time. Take on the 10 mile and cover nearly 3600ft of elevation change. DISTANCES 2.5 Mile [ 1 loop ] - Baby Basilisk5 Mile [ 2 loops ]10 Mile Solo [ 4 loops ]10 Mile Relay [ 4 loops ] RUCK DIVISION Any distance will have the option of competing with weight added. There are no official awards for this division, however everyone that completes their distance with weight will receive a special Basilisk patch. RELAY RULES Doesn’t matter how you do it. Alternate laps or hit two and then let your partner run. As long as you each complete two laps for a total of four, your time will be stopped. When you are ready to switch off, be sure to send your timing chip with your partner. Whoever is running a lap, must have the chip. TIMELINE 9:30AM - 10 Mile & 10 Mile Relay start 10:30AM - 5 Mile &

Welcome the the MT. TAMMANY 10. Out of the shadow of the DWG FA 50K "It's All Rocks!!!" FELSENMEER, the MT. TAMMANY 10 has emerged as the latest and greatest "ULTRA" test for ultrarunners in the region. This will not be for the faint of heart. The 10, 10, in 10! 10 Climbs, over 10000 ft of gain, in 10 HRs. Hence the name MT. TAMMANY 10. You want a real challenge!!! Well here it is!!!An almost 40.0 mile run traversing one of the toughest sections of trails in the DWG area. From here they will transition to the blue blaze trail for approximately 1/2 mile to a left hand turn (staying the blue-blaze trail) down MT. TAMMANY. Runners will descend down MT. TAMMANY, cross over the river at the bottom and head to the Dunnfield Parking Lot. Here runners can begin their second ascent on MT. TAMMANY. This will continue for 10 loops. At the end of every 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, and the 10th and final loop, runners will have to return to the Start/Finish Pavilion for check-in and loop verification. In Palmerton, you'll conquer Pennsylvania’s iconic Blue Mountain, a legendary Spartan venue known for challenging racers year after year. This time-honored course demands resilience and grit, making it a favorite among Spartans. Race through dense forests and scale a rugged hill crafted to challenge even the elite. If you’re strong and determined enough, you’ll be rewarded with amazing views of the Poconos from the top – and then your challenging descent begins. Don’t race alone. Invite your friends and family to cheer you on. Spectators can take the chair lift ride to the top for jaw-dropping views of the course and surrounding area.
This weekend also features Spartan Trail Race.
Poconos has a secret that the obstacle racers don’t know about. While this is one of the oldest, most tried-and-true venues on the Spartan OCR circuit, there’s another side of Blue Mountain that those racers have never touched. Outside of the normal ski area boundary lie miles of pristine singletrack trails too narrow and inaccessible for obstacle building. That means that only Spartan Trail racers get to experience them, and those trails make this race a racer favorite. But you won’t get off that easy, because some of Pocono’s legendary hills are still waiting!
This weekend also features Spartan Obstacle Course Races.

We are proud to announce that we have a non-binary registration option that has their own awards categories: overall and age groups.
All first time half marathon and marathon finishers will receive a plaque that commemorates their first half or full marathon finish. The athletes will also receive their finisher’s medal. Find Mark at the end of the race and let him know you ran your first marathon or half.

Thank you for the video Pat Durante. Over the last 15 years, Uberendurancesports has built a reputation for putting on well organized running events, many of them trail runs that are also beginner friendly. The Boulderfield 100K/50K/18M was created to offer a new, more challenging race to our runners. We do believe that every properly trained runner can tackle this challenge but it will be more difficult than our other trail races. Elevation is estimated to be about 4000ft per 50k loop. In addition to the rolling character of the course, you will encounter a boulder field crossing and a very rugged 1 mile trail section called the Shades of Death Trail. But it will not be quite as difficult as many of the races in the upstate PA area, so I would think it would be fair to describe this as a mid level difficulty course. There is a 16 hour time limit for the 100k & 14 hour for the 50k, which will make the shorter race hiker friendly. If this sounds like your kind of fun, please join us.

The LGNC More or Less a 10K Trail Run heads back to the Top of the Lehigh Gap for the Finish True to our motto that you will never run the same race twice, the race is excited to introduce it’s 8th entirely new course for the 15th running of the Lehigh Gap Nature Center 10K trail run and 2 Mile Scamper. This year’s course is a Point to Point race. Starting at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center in Slatington, Pennsylvania. The finish is 1,000 vertical feet up the West side of the Lehigh Gap. The course touches all of the significant trails on the Nature Center property starting with a short steep pitch up the LNE trail. At the top you will continue on the LNE trail then descend down the steep Eagles Trail to the flat and fast D&L. Once on the 3 Ponds trail you will begin some of the most beautiful sections of single track on the course. The single track continues and becomes more technical on the Double G and Chestnut Oak trails. The rolling hills of the Prairie Grass trail will test your climbing
legs before the last mile of the course ascending 1,000 vertical feet to the finish. This course really has something for everyone. We hope you choose our event for your fall trail running calendar. How it Works
T-shirts and one-of-a-kind finisher medals are guaranteed to the first 250 people who register. Light refreshments will be provided. Friendly, four-legged participants are welcome to join. Costumes are encouraged! Gather with us afterward for a quick celebration and official awards presentation to recognize the outstanding efforts of our participants and teams.
Course Certification
The Sterbenz Miles of Smiles 5k is an official, USATF-Certified (code NJ23046JLW) and World Athletics (USA-2023-209) certified course! Extending our course to utilize a portion of the Warren County Technical School and Warren County property nearby, one loop is exactly 2.5km. Runners will complete the loop twice and follow the alternative finish path. CLICK HERE to see the map of the course with details.
About the Event
The inaugural event, called the Sterbenz Run for Abilities, was created by Paul and James Sterbenz in 2020 as a response to the COVID pandemic and a desire to replace cancelled running events while raising needed funds for Abilities of Northwest Jersey Inc. Completing the 27 mile “marathon” from Alexandria Township to Lambertville, NJ on a sultry June morning, Paul and James crossed the finish line and successfully raised nearly $12,000! The Sterbenz Miles of Smiles was created in 2022 and expanded to include participants of all abilities- runners, walkers, rollers, strollers and even those with four legs!
