The 2026 Lucky Charm 4 miler will open the race season with an exciting run through the capital city on Saturday, March 21, 2026.
The race begins at 12 p.m. (noon). The starting line is the square of Harrisburg on 2nd Street.
At Lucky Charm Races EVERYONE is a winner. Every participant receives a finishers medal, a custom race t-shirt, and a gift certificate to Fleet Feet.
Created by runners, the Lucky Charm course is built for runners of all abilities. The race is limited to 1,000 participants. Most years we sell out, so make sure you register early.
All age group awards will be based on chip time and will be presented at 1:00 p.m. in the square.

Introducing the newly-branded CAPITAL 10: 10-Miler & 10K – A Run for the Arts! This year marks the 16th anniversary of the Capital 10-Miler, and we’re thrilled to announce an exciting addition: a 10K course, a feature our community has been asking for! Rebranded as the CAPITAL 10: 10-Miler & 10K – A Run for the Arts, this beloved race continues to support numerous area arts organizations while expanding opportunities for runners of all levels.
We invite you to join CAPITAL 10: 10-Miler & 10K – A Run for the Arts. The in-person race is Saturday, March 28, 2026. Virtual running is also available!
The race will start and finish on City Island, winding through some of the most scenic routes in the area, including the riverfront, the Capital Area Greenbelt, and the iconic bridges over the Susquehanna River.
“Each year, the race attracts tremendous interest,” says Brad Garfinkel, race director. “On average, 450 runners register annually, and we expect to see even more this year with the addition of the 10K.”
The Capital 10 has drawn participants from across the Mid-Atlantic and New England regions, while remaining a favorite among local and regional runners. Whether you're here to set a personal best or enjoy the scenic course with friends, this event celebrates the arts, fitness, and our vibrant community.
Administered by Open Stage, a not-for-profit professional regional theatre, the CAPITAL 10 is more than a race—it’s a way to make a difference. Proceeds benefit vital arts organizations that enrich our region. Join us this year for the CAPITAL 10: 10-Miler & 10K and be part of a legacy that celebrates fitness, community, and the arts. The 2026 edition of the race will see the return of a TEAM component at the 10-mile distance where the top 3 Teams of 4 runners will be recognized.

From I-83 N or S, exit onto 2nd Street and follow the same directions. From I-81, Exit at S Front St; travel approx. 3 miles to Market St. Bridge & turn right onto City Island. Walking: from Amtrak Station or downtown hotels, W to Front St., Turn R & proceed to Walnut St., left on bridge to City Island.

Who We Are: Healthy Kids Running Series is a five (5) week running program in the spring and fall for kids Pre-K through 8th grade. Each HKRS Series takes place once a week and offers age-appropriate running events including the 50 & 75 yard dashes, the 1/4 mile, the 1/2 mile and the 1 mile run. Kids will earn points for each race they complete based on their finish.
Pricing: The registration fee covers the entire five (5) weeks of the Series which includes race bibs for each week, a runner shirt, a finisher medal and any sponsor giveaways. Registration is non-refundable and non-transferable. Online Early Bird registration increases three weeks prior to the first race event.
Challenger: This Series offers a Challenger Division which is an adaptive 75 yard race for children with disabilities and/or special needs. This allows for parents, siblings, and friends to be on the course with runners to provide support as well as bringing their own supportive devices such as crutches, braces, wheelchairs, etc. to be used by runners.
Makeup Date Information: 5/17/2026
Single Day Racing: Single day race registration opens one hour prior to the start of each race. The registration fee covers one single race to be run on the day of registration. ALL single day registrations should be completed onsite at the race location. Single day racers will have the option to upgrade to the full series (see tab on the left side of the page for instructions). There is a strict no-refund and no-transfer policy.
Awards: All participants receive a medal on Week 5! Trophies will be awarded to the overall top finishers in each of the divisions listed below (broken out by boys and girls respectively):

Join Greenlight Operation for our annual 5K on City Island in Harrisburg to support survivors of human trafficking! Runners can participate in the fun run/walk or the certified race to compete for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals based on sex and age group, as well as compete for prizes awarded to the best time accomplished in the male and female category. Here is how it works...
Step 1. Register to run/walk the 5K or run the 10K. Invite your friends to join!
Step 2. Pick up your t-shirt and "swag bag" at the Olewine Nature Center from August 20-21 or on Race Day (August 22).
Step 3. The 10K will start at 8:30 AM and the 5K starts at 8:45 AM on Saturday, August 22.
Step 4. Post a picture of your run to Facebook & Instagram using #runwildforwildwood!
Awards will be handed out to the top 3 male and top female fastest times overall in each race. Every finisher will receive a medal.

Back-to-School Theme – Kick off the school year in style! We'll be giving away backpacks and offering loads of family-friendly fun.
Event Highlights:
Mile Run (Competitive Age Group Heats) - Run a timed mile at your own pace! Each participant will receive a milkshake from Pa Dairymen's Association after the race! Age group awards will be given based on chip-times. There will be three age group heats. 10:40 am, ages 19 and under. 11:00 am ages 20-39. 11:20 am ages 40 and up.
Fun 1-Mile Walk/Run, Half Pint ½ Mile- Fun Run & Mile Walk – Perfect for families, beginners, or anyone just looking to enjoy the experience without the timed heat. Each participant will receive a milkshake after the 1-Mile Walk/Run & Half Pint ½ Mile.
*This is a rolling start. Participants may start anytime between 10:00-10:20 am. Anyone needing more than 15 minutes are encouraged to start no later than 10:15 am.

The September 11th National Memorial Trail traverses over 900 miles across the state of Pennsylvania. Join the Alliance for the 3rd Annual Gettysburg Loop Tour, a six-day, 200+ mile journey through south-central Pennsylvania, with a two-day stop in the historic town of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania, via the 9/11 National Memorial Trail.
A significant highlight of the tour includes a stay in Gettysburg on Saturday and Sunday, October 24th and 25th (Days 3 & 4), where participants will have a variety of routes and rides to choose from, showcasing the Gettysburg Battlefield and other local attractions.
Beginning in Harrisburg, PA, on October 21, the cycling tour will move southwest following the 9/11 Trail alignment's loop to Gettysburg before ultimately ending back in Harrisburg on October 27. All proceeds from the ride will support the Trail's ongoing efforts to create and maintain a 1,500-mile, multi-use trail connecting the three locations impacted by the events of September 11, 2001.
