On the race day, all participants can easily follow the marked trail. The Oktoberfest 5k trail race will kick off outback Boal City Brewery. As soon as the start "gun" goes off, the race will begin along the gravel driveway of the 200-year-old Boal Estate Mansion. You will pass beneath ancient oak and maple trees and continue past Columbus Chapel on your left. The first part of the run will take you through recently cut farm fields that offer stunning views of the fall foliage. The trails are smooth and flowy, and they will take you through the Stan Yoder Preserve natural area and Blue Spring Park, both managed by the Center Region Park and Recreation. It's important to note that this course isn't flat, and you will encounter a few hills along the way. Follow the trail arrows, return to Boal City Brewery as quickly as possible, and enjoy a refreshing cold beer after your race. Beer and adventure make for the perfect combination!
