Event Details:
-
Rattling Creek is classic Central PA Rock Garden riding. This is not a beginner mountain biker event, but it is not a race either. The trails are challenging but great riding can be had for most ability groups.
-
For a map please visit: Rattling Creek Trail System. It is also recommended that you download the Trailforks Rattling Creek (IMBA Epic) route to your mobile device in advance.
-
Camping is primitive with portable toilets, outdoor shower facilities and no hook-ups. We have very limited electric connectivity if needed for medical devices. The camping is in and around the main field at camp and the roads in and out are not paved.
-
Win raffle items donated by our awesome sponsors (must be 18+ and CASH ONLY $$$)!
-
Quiet hours at the Camp are strictly from 11 PM to 8 AM. This isn't just a rule; it's a township ordinance put in place because of noise complaints from neighbors. Breaking this rule could result in fines or even the permanent closure of The BASH for next year.
-
Please pack out anything you bring in to help keep our costs down!
-
HELMETS and WAIVERS are required on all groups rides due to our insurance regulations.
-
The event is only canceled due to extreme weather so come prepared for whatever we have.
-
Order a SAMBA cycling kit custom made by Voler. Visit SAMBA website for details.
Additional FAQs:
-
Are there beginner rides in Rattling Creek? There really are no true beginner rides. All the trails are technical and have rock gardens, significant elevation changes, and no easy way out except to try and make the ride. There is often no cell service on most of the trails so you still have to make it out pretty far to even get support.
-
Do I need to register in advance? Pre-registration via BikeReg is preferred. Even if you want to wait until Friday or Saturday to register, please use BikeReg. We prefer not to have to deal with cash and having the correct amount of change on hand.
-
Why is there no family rate? Families are welcome to come, but the this event is all about riding the IMBA Epic Rattling Creek Trail System. Dinner on Saturday is included in the price as are the facilities and rental of the campground.
-
What is the Saturday dinner menu? We will be ordering pizzas with various toppings and subs from the local JoJo's.
-
What about breakfast? Free coffee and bagels available (until we run out) from 730-930am in bunkhouse on Fri and Sat morning (self-serve). There will also be a coffee truck on Friday and possibly Saturday.
