The huMAN 5K: Run to Feel Human.
📅 Saturday, June 13, 2026
📍 [Location TBD]
🧠 Men’s Mental Health Week
The huMAN 5K is more than a race—it’s a movement.
Held during Men’s Mental Health Week, this
community 5K brings people together to break silence, reduce stigma, and raise critical funds for men’s mental health programming through The huMAN Project.
Men are often taught to endure quietly. This run creates space to move, feel, and connect—for ourselves, for the men we love, and for those who never felt safe asking for help.
🏃🏽♂️ What to Expect
A timed 5K run/walk open to all fitness levels
A powerful Opening Circle grounding the day in intention
A community-built huMAN Wall, where participants share one word they’re running from and one word they’re running toward
Post-race connection, music, hydration, and resources
Meaningful race swag with messages that matter
This is not about speed—it’s about showing up.
💙 Why You’re Running
Proceeds support The huMAN Project, a nonprofit dedicated to fostering emotional awareness, healing, and connection among men and boys through free groups, youth programs, and community events.
Every step helps fund:
Free men’s support groups
Youth emotional literacy programming
Community healing and outreach initiatives
👥 Run Solo or Join a Team
Participants are encouraged to form teams—gyms, barbershops, families, workplaces, faith groups, and community organizations are all welcome. Team fundraising is a powerful way to multiply impact.
🎽 Registration Includes
Official huMAN 5K race shirt
Timed race bib
Access to all event activities
The opportunity to run for something bigger than yourself
🧠 This Event Is For Everyone
While centered on men’s mental health, all genders and ages are welcome. If you believe men deserve space to feel, heal, and be fully human—this run is for you.
📞 Support Matters
If you or someone you love is struggling, help is available.

Access to clean water is something many of us take for granted, yet millions of people around the world still walk miles every day to collect water that is often unsafe to drink. The Water for All 5K
is a community run created to help change that.
This race is a fundraiser supporting the Mambarare Water Supply Project led by the Engineers Without Borders – Philadelphia Professional Chapter, whose members volunteer their engineering skills to partner with communities around the world to design and implement sustainable infrastructure projects. Through long-term collaboration, our teams work to improve access to essential resources like clean water, sanitation, and reliable infrastructure.
Proceeds from this event will support our chapter’s water supply project in Mambarare, Tanzania, where we are partnering with a community to help develop sustainable solutions for safe and reliable drinking water. Funds raised through the race will help support project design, materials, construction, and the travel required for engineers and volunteers to work alongside local partners.
But this race is about more than fundraising - it’s about community, impact, and the ripple effect of collective action. Every mile run represents the steps many people take each day just to access water, and every participant helps move us closer to a future where safe water is accessible to all.
Join us for a morning of running, community, and purpose as we take steps together toward a world with clean water for every community.
Help us to build a better world, one community at a time.

The Chester creek, which runs through Newlin Grist Mill, is listed as impaired by the Pennsylvania DEP. When water quality is low, it has a detrimental impact on human health and safety, as well as the plants and animals that rely on our waterways. We monitor our stretch of the creek very closely by tracking pollutants, water temperature, and other factors that could impact the rich biodiversity of our streams. We have documented over a dozen species of freshwater fish in the stream, as well as turtles, aquatic insects, freshwater mussels, and the trout that we stock for our fly fishing program. Many other species depend upon healthy waterways, including herons, wood ducks, muskrats, mink, beaver, and other mammals. The landscape around the creek, known as a watershed, has significant impacts on water quality. Pollutants like road salt, lawn fertilizer, and soil erosion from construction all end up in the creek and harms aquatic life. Communities can improve water quality through projects
like riparian buffer restoration, storm water runoff management, and erosion reduction. Help us help the watershed by raising funds to support upcoming healthy creek improvement projects in the park!
5K: $35 per runner entry fee. $40 day of. Prizes will be awarded in each age group for both men and women. Free beer at the finish line for runners over 21, sponsored by Succession Fermentory

Join us for the Shenandoah Coal Cracker 10K!
The Coal Cracker 10k is an iconic running event nestled in the heart of the Coal Region. Beginning in the center of Shenandoah (PA), runners take off
through downtown Shenandoah before being met with the first of many challenging hills. The course then takes the runners through the twists, turns, and gently rolling hills of the Coal Region before taking a left turn up the infamous St. Nick's breaker. Runners will test their grit and endurance as they face this steep, seemingly endless hill. Once at the top, runners will have a 1 mile cruise downhill back into town where the finish line waits atop a short but nasty incline! The Coal Cracker 10k is a challenging race that will leave runners feeling breathless and accomplished. All participants are invited to attend the awards ceremony complete with world famous Mrs. T's Pierogies and cold Yuengling beer. After the awards join the Coal Cracker after party hosted by The Lyric Bar & Restaurant. The Coal Cracker offers 50+ unique awards, each
