The Perfect Marathon Training Race is BACK!
The 5th Annual Shoes 'N Brews 26.2KM Metric Marathon & Relay will take place on Sunday October 5th, 2025.
A collaboration between The RUNegades (Shoes) and
The Conshohocken Brewing Company (Brews), this FLAT, FAST, POINT-TO-POINT race on the SRT will take you from Conshohocken to a rockin' afterparty on Bridge Street in Phoenixville.
At 26.2 KM this "metric marathon" is 16.28 miles--basically a half marathon plus a 5K. It's perfect for marathon training OR for anyone who wants more than a half marathon but is not quite ready for a full.
Not up for taking on all 16.2 miles by yourself? Team up with a running buddy and split the course in two with the TEAM RELAY OPTION! The exchange will occur at mile 9, right under the 422 overpass near the Betzwood parking area at 1400 Sullivan's Lane in Norristown, PA.
Date: Sunday October 5th
Time: 8:00 AM
Course: Point-to-point from the Conshohocken Brewing Company in Conshohocken to Phoenixville on the SRT, finishing under the Gay Street Bridge in Phoenixville. For those in the two-person relay, the exchange will occur at mile 9, where the SRT goes under 422 near Betzwood Park.
Check out the course map here: https://www.mapmyrun.com/routes/view/4532418298

Relay runners are expected to transport themselves from the exchange to the Rec Room. We suggest that one teammate drop the other at the start in Conshy, then park near the exchange. When the first runner arrives at the exchange, they can take the car to Phoenixville.
Additional Information:
Bib pickup will be on-site at the Taproom at Conshy Brewing, starting at 7 am.
We cannot place portable toilets on the SRT, but there is a short detour to restrooms at the Betzwood parking area (mile 9.5) and restrooms at the Reynolds Dog Park in Phoenixiville (mile 14).

IN HONOR OF BOB HENDRICKS
Bob Hendricks was the absolute best husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, uncle, cousin, and friend to so many. He was a 2x Ironman, an Ultra marathon runner and triathlete. Bob was as humble and generous as them come and will be immensely missed, always. With absolutely no preexisting health conditions, Bob was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in February 2025 and passed away in March 2025, only 4 weeks after diagnosis.
This race is looking to honor Bob's memory by doing what he loved to do most -- running (or walking) and also raising funds to donate to Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (pancan.org) to fund research to identify successful treatments for a wider range of people (currently the 5 year survival rate is only 13%) and early/widespread screenings (currently do not exist).

Participants and their families will find a welcoming, supportive culture that serves not simply to improve rugby skills but also to strengthen youths’ sense of self, discipline, and drive.
From its inception, the club has been coached and managed by an all-volunteer group of parents, former players, and rugby enthusiasts. About the Event
The inaugural event, called the Sterbenz Run for Abilities, was created by Paul and James Sterbenz in 2020 as a response to the COVID pandemic and a desire to replace cancelled running events while raising needed funds for Abilities of Northwest Jersey Inc. Completing the 27 mile “marathon” from Alexandria Township to Lambertville, NJ on a sultry June morning, Paul and James crossed the finish line and successfully raised nearly $12,000! The Sterbenz Miles of Smiles was created in 2022 and expanded to include participants of all abilities- runners, walkers, rollers, strollers and even those with four legs!
