    4th Annual - Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross Country Meet - August 1st, 2026

    Benefitting the Sartell CC Team and the Rustie Froemming Memorial CC Scholarship

    Register today for the 4th Annual Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross Country meet! The goals of the meet are to celebrate our great Sabre CC tradition and family, connect with old teammates and coaches, and have fun competing on the old home course!

    The Alumni CC meet will serve as a fundraiser for the the Sabre CC team, including new uniforms. The meet will also benefit the Rustie Froemming Memorial CC Scholarship. Coach Froemming, who died unexpectedly in 2020, was integral to the success of the Sabre CC program and the personal/athletic success of many alumni.

    Sabre Alumni & Friends Cross-Country Meet details:

    • Saturday, August 1st - 9:00am

    • Sabre CC course: between the (current) Sartell Intermediate and Middle School

    • Meet schedule (all Meet activities at the Sabre CC course)

    • Check-in and Day-of Registration (7:30-9:00am): located at start/finish line

    • 5K run-walk (9:00am): open to all Alumni & Friends (spouses/partners, non-CC SHS alumni, parents, family, community members, etc.)

    • Family Fun Run (approx. 600 meters): perfect for the smaller kiddos and their family members; following the last 5K race finishers (approx. 9:45 am)

    • Post-race Reception & Happy Hour:

    • Reception: Immediately following the Meet & Family Fun Run (approx. 10:15); including post-race refreshments and a brief program

    • Informal Post-race Happy Hour: Blue Line Sports Bar & Grill - time TBA: no formal program, just a dedicated time/place for folks to meet informally, come and go as your schedule allows

    • Meet Registration:
    • $25 per individual 5K registration (+ processing fee); $10 off when you register 2 or more 5K racers!

    o Family Fun Run is FREE; no registration necessary

    o Pre-registration is preferred for planning purposes, but race-day registrations also welcomed!

    • Alumni Meet long-sleeve shirts: Pre-order is closed, but we will have some shirts available for purchase on race day!

    Ways you can participate in the Sabre Alumni & Friends CC Meet:

    • Register for the Meet - you can race, jog, walk, or roll - all abilities welcomed!

    • Donate: Whether or not you're running, please consider making a donation. Parents, ISD 748 staff, community members, non-CC SHS alumni, and CC alumni who choose not to run can also make a donation - click the Donate button above!

    • If you are interested in making a larger private, company, or in-kind donation, contact the Alumni Meet Planning chair (info below)
    • Spread the word about the Alumni & Friends Meet to your former teammates and anyone else - ALL are welcome!

    The Tiger Prowl 1 Mile & 5k is a fundraiser supporting the Tech Cross Country team.

    Event proceeds will be donated to the Tech Cross Country Booster Club!

    Run with Tech cross country athletes!

    The Tiger Prowl 1 Mile & 5k is an event with two races, both finishing in the Tech Football Stadium.

    These are both chip timed races timed by Pickle Events.

    7:00am - Packet Pick-up begins

    8:00am - 1 Mile race begins

    8:30am - 5k race begins

    Race Information

    These two races are open to runners of all ages and will highlight the beautiful St. Cloud Tech campus.

    1 Mile Race Course

    Start at the 50 yard line on the Tech football stadium, run a half mile north on the school entrance, turn around and finish where you started!

    5k Race Course

    Starting from the west entrance to Tech, runners will go south down 74, and into Hidden Acres Circle.

    Going counterclockwise in Hidden Acres Circle, runners will get back on 74, go north to 33rd St, run east on the sidewalk back to the Tech entrance and run the last half mile south finishing on the 50 yard line of the football stadium.

    Bring your friends and family to this fun, family friendly event to walk or run these courses!

    Race registration for both races for athletes 17 and under has special discounted pricing!

    Race Shirts are NOT included with your registration fee. They can be purchased during registration.

    This year there's two great ways to enjoy the annual Snowflake Shuffle 5K!

    About the race: Fast and fun certified course that meanders through St. Joseph, starting and finishing on the campus of the College of Saint Benedict. Or, if you'd rather, a virtual 5K that you can run wherever you are!

    ​All the fun stuff: Snowflake Shuffle provides one of the coolest long-sleeved race t-shirts in central Minnesota to each finisher. (Technical T-shirts!) If you're running in person, you can pick up your shirt the day of the race. If you're competing virtually, be sure to email Robin your time and a selfie after you finish! (See the link on the registration page.) Plus, once you register, you're eligible for some pretty cool prizes, which will be drawn the day of the race!

    Throw on your best Christmas gear, have someone make some hot chocolate for the finish, and start running!

    Awards: Prizes for the first overall men and women plus age group awards to: 19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over
