This race is a fundraiser to support McKay HS Cross Country Team!

5k starts at 7:10 pm
Starting location: Minto Brown Island Park, parking lot #3 by the pavilion
The 5K and 10K courses are flat courses in a natural setting in a beautiful park. The 5K course is all on paved trails. The 10K course does have a small loop along an open trail and then returns to a paved path again.
Entry fee includes a post-race ice-cream sundae and chip timing by Eclectic Edge Racing with immediate timing results.
Race divisions will be 10-year age groups (1-10, 11-20, 21-30...80-89), and the top three male/female winners will be awarded ribbons.
Important Details:
Restrictions: No rollerblades/skates, skateboards, dogs, or unregistered participants. Baby joggers and strollers are allowed. Walkers are welcome in the 5K. Headphones permitted as long as they allow ambient passthrough noise.
Packet Pickup Begins at 6:00 pm. Day of Race Registration will end promptly at 6:50 pm & is all forms of payment accepted (unless capacity is reached before then).
All race courses close at 9:00 PM.
Note: Race timing and course monitoring end at 8:30 P.M.

Aid stations: One water station is provided for both races around mile point 1.25 for the 5k and 4.25 for the 10k.

Haley's Heroes Foundation presents 7th Annual RUN FOR THE RARE, a 10k, 5k and 1 mile run/walk to support International Batten Disease Awareness Day. Did you know that Rare is everywhere? Join us as we run on Sunday, June 14, 2026. 1 in 10 people have a rare disease and 50% of those are children. There are more than 7000 known rare diseases and an estimated 350 million people globally diagnosed with a rare disease. YET, 95% of all rare diseases don't have a FDA approved treatment or cure. Let's run (or walk) to change the course of the lives for all those with rare disease. Post pictures at #RUNWALKFORTHERARE!
The race will start and finish outside of the Pavilion in the North Meadow. Starting time is 10am and all participants should be finished by 1pm.
Cost is $45 for adults and $35 for children.
Registration fee includes a food coupon for snacks and ice cream.

Join us for CASA of Marion County's Superhero Run!
Not all superheroes wear capes, some run or walk! Join CASA of Marion County at Salem Riverfront Park for our annual Superhero Run. Kid-friendly and costumes strongly encouraged! Through its volunteers, CASA of Marion County advocates for abused and neglected children in foster care. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit dedicated to child safety. Proceeds support CASA operations.

Thank you for supporting Salem Free Clinics, we exist to be an expression of Christ’s love to bridge the gap in healthcare access by providing quality compassionate care at no cost to those in need. Last year’s race was a huge success, raising more than $41,000! This year, we are excited to announce that we will have both an in-person and virtual race option again!

Key Event Details:
Dogs and strollers are not allowed on the course. If you have little ones interested in being a part of race day, please consider taking part in our untimed kids race (they also receive a bib, shirt and medal)!
All Race Courses are set to end at 12:30 PM. Half Marathon participants, please ensure you are able to complete the event in under 4 hours and 30 minutes (roughly 20:35 pace per mile)

Pre-Race offerings:

Enjoy music and a variety of food offerings from local food trucks for purchase after the event as well as awards for overall and age group finishers.
Parking:
Please prioritize using Street Parking in Downtown Salem as well as downtown parking garages. Plan for plenty of time to arrive and get situated prior to the event. The Riverfront park Carousel Parking lot will fill very fast the morning of the event.
Please plan accordingly! Day-of packet pickup ends at 7:50 am. The race will begin on time at 8:00 am.
