WHERE: Talent Middle School, 102 Christian Ave, Talent, Oregon (Start and Finish is in the Bus Loop off Foss Rd, parking is off Christian Ave)

    WHEN: Saturday, Feb 14, 2025

    SCHEDULE:

    • 10am-10:45 Day of Registration & Packet Pickup

    • 11am 10k start time

    • 11:30am 5k start time

    COURSE DETAILS:

10K Course; Start/Finish is at Talent Middle School (102 Christian Avenue). The race will start in the same spot that it did last year however it will be a loop style course instead of an out and back. Runners will begin by heading onto Foss Road and up to Adams which is roughly 1.5 miles, there will also be an aid station here. Runners this year will now take a left at this intersection and follow Adams straight through the Beeson Lane intersection and continue on Adams all the way as it turns into Anderson Creek Road. As the road turns into Anderson Creek Road runners will be heading East towards Wagner Creek Road for about .7 of a mile. On runners right side there will be volunteers directing at Allen Lane where you will run up a short and punchy hill that will take you to Morey Road where you will turn left and head to Wagner Creek Road. You will turn left onto Wagner Creek Road for 1.3 miles until you hit Beeson Lane. Here, runners will turn Left onto Beeson Lane for .4 miles then turn

right onto Tarry Lane. At the end of Tarry Lane is Foss Road. Runners will turn right onto Foss Road and return to the Start/Finish the same way that you started.

Overall this course is more rolling than previous years and has a little bit more climbing but you will all be distracted by the beautiful scenery that this route has to offer. This course is all paved road. Runners should pay close attention to their surroundings as it will not be a closed course and there are some blind turns on this route. Headphones are not encouraged. Please be respectful and do not litter, carry your trash to the aid stations or back to the finish.

5K Course; If you have run this course in the last few years it will be mostly the exact same with only one very small difference. Runners will start and finish in the same spot as this course is an out and back. Runners will head out Foss Road from our start line and head to the Adams and Foss intersection. At the intersection, runners will TURN LEFT until you hit the aid station then you will turn around and head right back to the Start.

This course is all paved road. Runners should pay close attention to their surroundings as it will not be a closed course and there are some blind turns on this route. Headphones are not encouraged. Please be respectful and do not litter, carry your trash to the aid stations or back to the finish.

Talent Elementary School’s Outdoor Discovery Program (ODP) invites you to join us for an Earth Month 5K and 1-Mile run at Colver Fields on Saturday, April 25th!

While the event will not be a "mud run" in the traditional sense (as in we will not be creating mud obstacles), we do anticipate a muddy course due to April showers.

All proceeds from this event will be used to facilitate learning opportunities for ODP students. Hope to see you all there!!

Join us at Willow-Witt Ranch for The Crest’s 7th Annual Turtle Trot—a true trail race with heart (and breakfast)! Choose the 5K or 10K on rolling single-track through meadows, wetlands, oak woodlands, and native conifer forest, or bring the whole family for a joyful Fun Run for all ages.

Starting at 4,500’ and climbing to nearly 5,000’, the courses feature elevation, varied terrain, and sweeping views of Mount Shasta, Pilot Rock, and Mt. Ashland. The 10K doubles the challenge with a second lap run in reverse, ensuring you experience the views from every angle.

After the finish, stay for what many say is the best part: a communal, made-from-scratch post-race breakfast shared around long tables, followed by a hands-on Western Pond Turtle learning session. Run hard, eat well, linger and learn. All proceeds support The CREST in our mission to connect people and nature.
