    Join the University of Oregon Triathlon Team for a fun, welcoming, and beginner-friendly triathlon right here at the UO Rec Center! Whether you’re a experienced triathlete, completely new to the sport, or you’re a young athlete excited to challenge yourself, this event is built just for you.

    What to Expect

    This race is designed to be accessible, low-pressure, and community-oriented. Distances are intentionally short, the atmosphere is relaxed, and our UO Tri athletes will be on deck to cheer you on, answer questions, and guide you every step of the way. Perfect for:

    • Newcomers wanting a fun introduction to triathlon

    • Youth and teens interested in trying something active and exciting

    • Community members looking for a supportive challenge

    • Families and friends participating together

    Race Format

    The event takes place entirely within and around the Rec Center facilities, featuring:

    Indoor Swim – Safe, supervised laps in the Rec Center pool

    Stationary Bike Ride – Timed effort on indoor bikes—your own pace, no traffic!

    Outdoor Run – A quick course to finish strong

    Each segment is designed to be manageable for all ability levels. No specialized gear or prior triathlon experience required.

    Race Distances

    Triathlon and Triathlon Relay - 300 yd swim, 4 mi bike, 1.5 mi run

    Youth Triathlon - 50 yd swim, 2 mi bike, 0.75 mi run

    What Do I Need to Bring?

    • Clothes you can comfortably swim, bike, and run in

    • Goggles

    • Running shoes

    • Cycling shoes (SPD cleat)

    Schedule

    Athlete Check-in will be the morning of the race

    Waves will begin at 8:30AM and continue until noon

    USAT Sanctioned Event

    This race is sanctioned by USA Triathlon, which means all participants must have a current USAT membership. If you don’t already have one, you will be prompted to purchase it during registration process.

    The Gear Grants Run features 5K and 10-mile race distances as well as an add-on pancake breakfast afterward. All funds go to support the Run Hub Gear Grants program. Run Hub Gear Grants is a 501c3 non-profit that provides grants to Eugene-Springfield area school athletes in need participating in cross country during the fall or track & field in the spring. The grants allow recipients to purchase essential running/training gear like running shoes and competition spikes or footwear for the season. Bib pickup is from 7:45-8:45 AM on race day. Both races begin at 9 AM.

    Thanks to our sponsors, all ticket proceeds will go directly to fund gear grants for local student athletes. Event sponsors include: ASICS, Kiva Grocery, Krusteaz, Palace Coffee | Bakery, Rowell Brokaw Architects & Zenith Performance & Wellness.

    Run for Two Daughters Foundation at the 2026 Eugene Marathon, raise money to cover your registration costs, and support our mission of providing free peer grief support to young adults across the country!

    There's no more iconic place to achieve your running accomplishment than in Track Town USA! You can tackle the full 26.2 miles in the marathon, or sign up for the half marathon or 5k! Whatever you choose, you will be in the company of other Two Daughters Foundation team members and enjoy the beautiful scenery of South Eugene and the University of Oregon.

    To run for team Two Daughters Foundation, sign up and fundraise for your spot! The fundraising minimums are listed below. Two Daughters Foundation will send you a registration link once you've achieved your fundraising goal. All profits received by Two Daughters Foundation go towards our charity's mission of providing free grief support to young adults in Oregon and beyond that are navigating the serious illness or loss of a parent or parental figure.

    Note: The deadline to meet the fundraising minimum is March 15, 2026

    All Team Members Receive:

    • FREE registration for the race! As soon as your fundraising goal is met, your registration fee is waived for the race of your choice.

    • An official Two Daughters Foundation T-shirt

    • Fundraising platform and tools, including your own fundraising page and ongoing fundraising support from Two Daughters Foundation staff

    Fundraising Minimums:

    Marathon: $350

    Half Marathon: $250

    5k: $150

    Once you've achieved your fundraising goal, Two Daughters Foundation will reach out to you with a registration link that will allow you to register at no additional cost to you.

    Please note that you will be accountable for covering the remaining amount to meet the fundraising minimum if the fundraising minimum is not met by the fundraising deadline.

    Big Timber Running Club is excited to host the 5th year of the Emerald City Trail Series! A 5 week trail race series held at Mt Pisgah, Eugene, Oregon.

    All races will start at 6:30 from the #38 trailhead near the Sheriff's Mounted Posse arena at the North end of Buford. Parking will be on Buford Park Road, just beyond the North Trailhead Parking Lot gate. Runners must have a $5 parking permit using the Passport Parking app and zone 97306 for each race. An annual Lane County Parks Permit will also work. Donate at least $50 to Friends of Buford and Mt. Pisgah membership, get a Lane County Parking Permit good at all parks, and park trail maps.

Each course will be held on beautiful properties or various partner vineyards across the country giving you a rare opportunity to view and tour a vineyard like no other. With the option to choose between a 1K or 5K course, or both, there’s something for everyone. Along the 1K course, you’ll find four sampling stations where you can enjoy world-class wines from the partner vineyard. And if you complete the 5K course, there will be a complimentary glass of wine waiting for you at the finish line.

    Come on out and join us at Kiwanis Park in Eugene.This festive race brings all the cheer of the season—without the cold—giving athletes a fun and energetic way to race during the warm summer months.

    Whether you’re tackling the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon, you’ll enjoy a spirited race atmosphere filled with holiday flair, seasonal fun, and motivation from start to finish. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to join in the celebration.

    All athletes who cross the finish line will receive a custom finisher medal and a spirited, race-themed shirt to commemorate their accomplishment. Awards will be presented to men and women for all three distances to the top finishers in the usual five-year age groups, starting at 10 & Under.
