Celebrate the holiday spirit in the middle of summer at the Christmas in July 5K/10K/Half Marathon! This means Santa is on Vacay!
Come on out and join us at Captain William Clark Park in Washougal (Greater Portland Area).This festive race brings all the cheer of the season—without the cold—giving athletes a fun and energetic way to race during the warm summer months.
Whether you’re tackling the 5K, 10K, or Half Marathon, you’ll enjoy a spirited race atmosphere filled with holiday flair, seasonal fun, and motivation from start to finish. Runners and walkers of all levels are welcome to join in the celebration.
All athletes who cross the finish line will receive a custom finisher medal and a spirited, race-themed shirt to commemorate their accomplishment. Awards will be presented to men and women for all three distances to the top finishers in the usual five-year age groups, starting at 10 & Under.
Break out the holiday cheer, lace up your running shoes, and make summer miles merry at the Christmas in July 5K/10K/Half Marathon.
Celebrate the 4th of July with the Molalla Firecracker 5k. Enjoy cheers from spectators as you follow the parade route through town. Start and Finish are at Heckard Field.
Stayton Fun Run
Since 1983 Stayton has been celebrating fitness and this family tradition on the 4th of July. Both the runs and walk of this annual event will take place on asphalt and cross-country surfaces. The courses are excellent for the competitive runner, fun runner and walker.
The Runs and Walk is being held in conjunction with Stayton’s 4th of July festival. The festival features such activities as a Kid’s and Grand Parade, a community dinner, band concerts, variety show, kid’s games, food booths and a fantastic fireworks display. So, there is much to do after the race is over.

WHEN: Every JULY 4th, starting at 9:00 a.m. (DAY OF REGISTRATION FOR TIMED RESULTS WILL END @ 8:45 AM) 8:30am Race Day Scout Flag Ceremony (start your 4th of july off right)
WHERE: Starts at the Stayton Community Center – 500 W Burnett St. (Off 1st St.). Stayton is 15 miles east of Salem on Highway 22.
FEE: $15.00 per person if you pre-register online (before July 4th). $20.00 per person day of the race (DAY OF REGISTRATION FOR TIMED RESULTS WILL END @ 8:45 AM). Registration begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Stayton Community Center.

Preregistration ends at Noon on 7/3/26 and is just $15.00, Packet pickup and same day registration is from 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM in the lobby of the hotel. The same day entry fee is $25.00.
The Cowlitz Valley Runners are partnering with a patriotic non-profit organization, Helping Every Veteran In Need (HEVIN), in this family friendly Independence Day event. Come join us for a one mile race (run or walk) on the route of the Longview, Washington Go 4th Festival's July 4th parade. It starts at the historic Monticello Hotel and finishes near Martin's Dock at beautiful Lake Sacajawea Park. Hosted by the Cowlitz Valley Runners, in partnership with HEVIN and sponsored by the Monticello Coffee House and Lounge, the Child & Adolescent Clinic, Red Leaf Organic Coffee, Cortex Marketing, and Norpac, this is a fun event for the whole family. Hundreds of fans (lined up to watch the Go 4th Parade that will follow the race) will cheer the runners and walkers on this fast, flat, scenic course. The focus is on family fun, so the entry fee is minimal. In keeping with the community, non-profit volunteer philosophy of the Go 4th Festival, the Cowlitz Valley Runners will apply proceeds to scholarships for high school seniors pursuing higher education.
Awards: Medals will be awarded to the top male and female finishers. Ribbons will be awarded to the the second and third place male and female finishers, and to the first male and female finishers over 50 . Plus, we have several random door prizes!! WALKERS CAN WIN TOO!!
Running t-shirts: Order your Go 4th Mile 2026 shirts online by June 20th. Pick up shirts at packet pickup at the Monticello Hotel lobby on race day from 8:30 - 9:30 AM.
Join us on Independence Day 2026, Saturday, July 4th at beautiful Champoeg State Park for the 12th Annual Independence Day 5K • 10K • Half Marathon. Champoeg State Park is the perfect setting to celebrate our national pastime of working hard and partying in equal measure.
What: Choose from 3 distances! Half Marathon, 5K or 10K. Our course runs on paved bike paths and park roads. Get ready to run or walk, eat great food, drink amazing ROGUE beer, and listen to some great music.
Where: Champoeg State Park, St. Paul, Oregon
Why: Because it’s The 4th of July and you should be eating great food and drinking great beer at a park on the beautiful Willamette River with friends and family.
